World's Fastest Motorcycle Riders

Preliminary results from last weekend's
Loring AFBresults put

Brevon Scott
as high as 30th on "The List,"
with a one mile speed of

251.816 mph

We are waiting to see if he went on to
a better time in the 1.5 mile results.

After last year, this year
looks like a landslide

Results from over last weekend
in Elvington, England:

Steve Bland Hayabusa Turbo 251.744 mph
(Steve jumps from nowhere to about 30th,
WHAT a rookie performance)

Les Marsh Hayabusa Turbo 248.464 mph
(UK's fastest Grandfather stays in the game)

Mike Grainger Hayabusa Turbo 244.073 mph
(FINE rookie performance to make the
TOP 50 Fastest riders in the world !)

WOW !!!!!!!
Pretty impressive all around !
I am not sure how reliable
that speed is, but the whole film
in VERY impressive.
IF I was to find fault:
1) The timing in on board, which today
is probably pretty accurate IF it is GPS based.
IF it is wheel-speed based on the rear wheel,
than with the usual and expectable 5-10% wheel spin, the 400 KPH would be substantially reduced.
2) We don't know the length of the run (yet)
although that could be calculated from the video.
3) The run travels from one bridge-suspension arch past the other. Suspension bridges have their high point near the middle of the span. That means the last (fast) half of the run is DOWNHILL. Is that fair.
4) STILL: Impressive for a factory-issued, over-the-counter bike, and FASTER than any recorded speed for ANY MotoGP bike, EVER !
Cheers, Scott

FABULOUS NEWS !

Ransom Holbrook (H&H Racing) 252.222mph

on his nitrous Busa at the Maine Event today in the 1.5 mile.

This is the first nitrous bike, worldwide, to go over 250mph.

An absolutely TREMENDOUS achievement.

NO TURBO, just “The Bottle !”

Virtually STOCK-SHAPE plastic

This should jump Ransom up from the "mid 40's"
to about 30th place on "The List !"

Ransom has been working for this moment for

almost 15 years…….a little here, a little there,

and the bike sounded like it “had a little left !”

NEVER GAVE UP !

SHOW him your appreciation for a

“Best in World History” performance !

Dan Milholland writes:

"Zack just sent me a note and said Scott Davis
ran 249.5mphin the mile and 266.5mph in the 1.5 mile
& it's a KAWASAKI!!!

I know Scott has put a lot of blood, sweat, tears and money into
his bikes but it's paid off......and he is one heck of a rider too.
Great job.
Dan

That is a superb accomplishment !

Scott has been putting in MANY
hours for MANY years, and now
it is paying off in tangible results.

He has done it carefully, and done it right !

I think 266+mph is about 6th on
the "world's fastest list !"

1st guy to "break into" the
top six since Al Lamb in 2012 !

BIG deal !

Recently in from the LORING race last weekend:

07/13/16--RASHID AL-HAJRI---MK RACING--APS/BG-3000/4---261.114

Pretty special !

Our friend RASHID above continued through
the mile & one half, and posted:

266.919 mph.

That should move him
up into the Top six world-wide !

OK, I finally understand.

The Loring results are incorrect,
and our friend Hussain was the
rider.

Who is RASHID AL-HAJRI

I am with you, KZScott!

This is what LORING shows in record results.
07/13/16---L1001---- RASHID AL-HAJRI----
MK RACING----APS/BG-3000/4----261.114
(HAJRI is listed on the rider)

In the preliminary runs, there is this result:
07/13/16---L1001 RASHID AL-HAJRI---
MK RACING---APS/BG-3000/4.....261.114....142.608
The 261.114 looks ok - maybe - but it is obviously
a shut-off-early run for the 1.5 mile traps.

Timing slip says Hussain was in the seat - not HAJRI.

I found NO preliminary runs with a 266mph for this bike.

NO records of 266 for EITHER Hussain or RAJID.........

SOMETHING just doesn't sound right here...............

Hussains bikes didnt run the full course, only the 1 mile, with either Hussain or Rashid driving(they were taking turns). the best run was a 261 in a mile. neither of them went 266. the reason its hard to understand is loring has records for both 1 and 1.5 listed beside each other. if you have the mile record your name is on the left. if you have the 1.5 record your name is on the right. if you have both it has your name on each side. i drew a line to help show where one record stops and the other begins. you can see the 1 mile record is Rashid and the 1.5 is Dean in the BG class, and I have both in BF. the date is also listed for when the run was made.

Well, as it turns out, it looks like RASHID
was, in fact, the rider, and posted a true
261.114mph record in the MILE,
which TIES the existing record.

PLEASE WELCOME RASHID TO THE 250MPH CLUB !

When the listing is "updated,"
this is probably how it will look:

RASHID AL-HAJRI--- Hussain Al Sowaigh---261.114mph-----Busa---Loring

Looks like I've missed a lot
the last couple days.

Glad it seems to have sorted itself out.

Yes, sorted out.............

It's interesting that we can establish the SPEED
to the 0.001mph, and the time of the run
to 0.001 seconds, and the day exactly,
and the displacement to the 0.1cc.

But it's HARD to figure out WHO was riding the bike.

El Mirage video's every run by every competitor.............

Well, 2016 is drawing to a close,
and the season has been very productive.

However, there have been serious injuries,
and an untimely passing.

Nevertheless, folks continue to fight back
the bitter taste of fear, and "go the mile."

Below are some of what I think are the
important speeds for the year,
and the folks that posted them.

We would all appreciate if you - as the
reader - could look over these speeds
and see if they look correct.

Let us know if they are not.

Otherwise, they will be incorporated
in my now-annual update of this
important - and VERY hard to achieve list.

Cheers, Scott
