Norway Builds the World's Most Humane Prison - TIME

I must admit I am torn about this. At face value, I find it ridiculous. After absorbing it, I think many of it's ideas are good ideas....as far as preparing criminals for successful integration back into society. USA does a poor job of this often. The glaring issue I see is life in prison sounds like a vacation, which could really encourage crime.

Either way, thought y'all might want to read about it.

Hummmmmmmmmmmmm  , it's their SECOND Largest Prison and ONLY holds 252 prisoners ! Well, if you only have, what ? , a thousand prisoners total. I guess Cooking Schools, Jogging Trails, a Golf Course and Tennis Courts. Along with a PRIVATE HOTEL for you to entertain at, on your Family Visits could work. But Kalifornie probably houses more in 2 of their LOWEST Level prisons than they have in their entire Country.

Size and Totals do matter, plus I think OUR SCUM BAGS are a lot worse and dangerous than their Scum Bags

There are too many laws that lock up people in prisons for petty crimes when they should be in a city or county facility short-term. The "3 Strikes Law" has been used way too many times for non-violent offenders, when murders and violent drug dealers are pushed back out into the streets early because they don't have room for them with all of the "3 Strikes" prisoners.

Our legal system is not only trashed beyond usefulness, it is completely broken.

They dont play in court here thats 4 shure.
One my friends got caught with some drugs well just weed but was I think 1/2 pound.
He got off with 16 months probation but failed a drug test.Judge told him he would have finish out the probation in jail.Least they give 2 days for 1 here if good behaiver.
So hes got serve 8 months.

Maybe they'll take some of our overflow... Like an inmate study abroad program..

I really believe if the general public actually experienced a "Max A" prison firsthand….. and how the subcultures operate..... it would shock everyone.... its quite the experience, unfortunately the few times cameras are allowed in... the liability is sooooooo great.... that most inmates are "locked in"... they cannot risk letting the facility operate like a NORMAL day...… so nobody really sees anything, just CELL GANGSTERS showing off for the cameras.... which creates OTHER problems when the cameras leave.
