I would never buy a first gen bike regardless of the manufacturer. The new bikes are prone to early issues and it is always wise to wait for the manufacturer to sort out the issues before buying. Last thing you want is for your dream bike to be a "beta" release...and you becoming a free "debug engineer"

Get a used Busa and wait until 2008/9 before buying a new bike.

DO NOT buy a new Busa now - get a used one from 2002/3/4

Loved my 05 so I can't imagine I would not like an 06.

Probably gonna go ahead with the 06 for now.
