i'm having one of the graphic artists at my church do up a design for me to wrap the bike in. kinda excited. no more riding like a jackass tho, since i'd be associated with my church:laugh:

he's thinking something inspired by the sharpie lambo.

What is a round about cost for the bike to be wrapped? Is there awebsite to look at additional work?

Wow, I really like this one. Any of you know if these wraps can be clear coated for extra shine?

Q: How high is the gloss of the material?
A: Bikeskinz wraps are specially laminated with a liquid laminator. This offers the thinnest material which makes it easier to conform to curves and also provides the highest gloss possible on vinyl graphics. The quality of the shine could be compared to clear coated paint.

Depending on the quality of the vinyl and the type/resolution of the original image, most if it is now photo quality. The hard part is APPLYING it - for $479, I'd pay a pro to do it too easy to ruin.

By the way, that's less than $20 of materials....one heck of a profit margin, but a lot of setup/design costs.

i know a guy in town who has a printer to knock that stuff out fairly cheap. he'd probably give me a hookup on the install too.

I've always wondered about wrapping my busa. Had the itch and I have a little experience, but that crap is a royal PITA. I still can't understand how people do it so easily....guess they just know all the tricks!

Here's a picture of my fiddy with custom graphics. I drew them in CAD to scale along with a 2009 CRF50 graphics, designed them in Photoshop and a buddy of mine hooked me up with free printing. This was only a trial as I need to modify the CAD drawing a little bit so they have a 100% perfect fit and then figure out what pattern. thinking digital snow camo and that'd be my suggestion for your busa too! :)

Another way to wrap the bike and have any type of gloss finish that you want is Hydrographics... There is thousands of colors and patters to choose from and I think I have a few of the "sharpie Lambo" patterns that might interest you as well. This will have a clear over it so you get the same durability as a regular paint job and it will never come off, unless you lay it over or something like that.
