Ok, ok, Rhythm, and all the others are right, there is NO light that compares to the HID, BUT, if you are like me, and can,t afford a $300.00 headlight, there is a ghetto mod that I have found safe to use. I use a 100 watt blue xenon bulb, and have had no problems in over 6000 miles, and it is better than the stock bulb, but no where near what a hid is. Hope this helps.

I had a xenon bulb in my Kat 750 that a guy sent with something I ordered. I put it in and it was pretty white, but nowhere near HID bright. Didn't have any problems with it and got rid of the bike last April after about 2 years of service. Of course the bike wasn't ridden for about 10 months of that time since I was deployed the first time. Like the look, but don't know how long it would have really lasted before something happened.
