Dunno if you were referring to my post or not, but.... I was being facetious, as I got my two McCullough kits for substantially less than that price.

However, having actually looked at the link you posted..... I now see this vendor is a site sponsor.

They sound like great folks, have a longer warranty, so I will go ahead and STFU now.....

Me too, I just sent them $230...I'll post the install soon. I think I'll wait till pitch dark, shine my stock lights on the garage door, do the install, then shine the new ones on the same spot....that would demonstrate the difference better than shooting a pic of the light head on, it just looks like a UFO then! Assuming you score the 4300K temp bulbs, it should look like the bottom photo (this is ~ 22ft from the garage door):

The significantly more yellow top version is a stock 55-watt halogen.


edit: Forgot to mention this is a shot of the McCullough G5 HID kit install I did in the FJR's headlight assembly back in 2005.

The HID install I did on my K8 last week has a fairly similar beamcast.
