JimJib, about the color of your X-Metal canisters, I think you should take a look at them under the sunlight.....your the first person I`ve ever heard comment on the color being grey! Your sure you got the X-metal, and not the filament wound Carbon? All the ones I`ve seen are sort of a bronze, silver color. The color doesn`t really change much unless you cook'em on the Dyno. Did you get the Slip-ons?
