Yellow Box

Way I've done it up till now is with bike on centerstand, spin rear wheel by hand as fast as I can, then sudden complete stop (using 2 hands or rear brake) and then it will keep tallying up the miles on the tripmeter into eternity as long as I don't move wheel again and don't turn off ignition. I've had it do this at what seemed like exactly 4 mph from the tripmeter readings increasing versus time and this was the fastest I could do by spinning wheel by hand. Lower speeds are also possible but I've had no chance to do it faster with help of running engine as one of the things I've been waiting for for almost 1/2 year now is the most silent type of Akrapovic silencer so I won't let the engine run without silencer. I'm finally darn close to having a silencer any day now, so will try to remember if it can be replicated at higher "speeds" or that maybe this only goes for up till 4mph?

Animal, it is still a mystery to me what is happening.

The software routine in the Yellow Box cuts off all output of the unit when the speed falls below a set speed (a few mph), this is normal with most speedo systems and I used this system for the same reason; it stops spurious speed pulses when the bike is at rest.

I still can't duplicate it on my TL, what speed are you spinning the back wheel? Do you then let it coast to rest or use rear brake?
