YES YES YES YES MotoGP NEWS!!!

Its a good move for Ducati if their goal is to increase sales of their bikes in the USA

Think about it

Well, being a LONG time Ducati owner and Club member:cheerleader:, I really don't know anyone who would buy a Duc because Hayden is riding one. From my experience, people who buy bikes because of the FASTEST or FAVORITE rider rides one doesn't buy Exotic Bikes like MV's, Aprillas or Ducati's. They buy Honda's, Yamaha's, Suzuki's or Kawi's. Keep them until NEXT YEAR or the NEXT GREAT model (that they can't possibably even ride at 75% of the Bikes capabilities) and move on. Of course this is just my observation over the last 20 years of owning Ducs. But, maybe the graphics are changing, but I don't think so ???
So why do I think it's a bad idea for Ducati  ? Well, not because Hayden is an American (I think Hoppi could do better) , but I really don't think Hayden is capable of riding the Bike to a championship. And that's what the game is about, but I hope I'am wrong :2cents:

Another championship in the making? ??? If he can stay healthy and keep his head screwed on straight this should make for an interesting season!

Put down the pipe, man! Hayden doesn't have what it takes, talentwise, to win a championship. He should be happy with the one he won two or three seasons ago because it was nothing but a fluke.

Hayden is a good rider, dont get me wrong BUT so is Marco Melandri and he hasnt been able to do **** on the Ducati this year. He's no rookie. I think the SIZE of the Ducati will suit Hayden much better as well. He's a dirt tracker and considering how powerful the Duc is, it will probably fit his riding style. Keep this in mind though guys, every year that passes, the development teams are catching up in power. Look at Rossi's Yamaha now. Next year could be one of the most even years we've seen yet which makes for nothing but awesome battles. Take a look at WSB to see what I mean; all kinds of different guys winning races there.

Nicky on a Ducati!!! Hell yea....ride the piss out of it like you did the RC51!! And win on the Ducati like you did on the RC51 TOO!!!:cheerleader::cheerleader:

Don't tell Ducati that anyone has caught up to them.

Funny Rossi passes Hayden 2 laps from the calling of the race... (did look like Hayden road the wheels off the bike however)

Hayden wrung that things neck! That was fun to watch man. Head to head battles like that are few and far between lately. They were all hunting for Puddles before the deluge hit. I think they cooked their rain tires in the first half and then needed them bad in the second half. I really wanted to see them run the last 7 laps! I think Spies could have gotten 4th.

I read all the riders quotes saying it was the worst conditions they had ever raced in until they asked Spies and he said "no, Willow Springs was"!!! Must be some big side winds out in the desert. I presume the folks at Indy will get rid of the trees before next year. Did you see all the leafs and garbage blowing across the track in front of Rossi and Hayden!

Yup, the wind gets mighty strong at Willow Springs. A few of us do trackdays there and T8 gets hairy in the wind :O

Nicky did awesome!! When the track started to dry off he burned up the left side of his rain tires. But then it started raining again and he said part of his tire was like a slick with no grooves :O Lorenzo would have got him, but even Lorenzo was glad they called the race. Not often a rider is agreeable to stopping the race if he could continue to pick up positions, that's how bad it was. Not only was the there garbage and leaves blowing accross the track, but the wind was unpredictable and some of the safety air fences had blown up. So if someone had crashed they would have hit the wall instead of the air fence.

Spies definately could have had 5th, maybe 4th. But his visor fogged up and he had to follow or he couldn't see where he was going. That's an awesome result for Ben!! Unfortunately, it doesn't look good for his motogp chances next year... Its crazy though, he beat Ver and Cap after only his 3rd race. What is Suzuki thinking....
