Yosh bolt ons

I have a 2004 Busa the dealer put RS-3 bolt on exhaust on it. It now backfires and feels like I lost some bottom end. The backfire is not real bad but there on deacceleration. Took it to the dealer and they said everything was ok, any suggestions would be helpful.

Do you have PC 11 or 111?

No it is all stock the dealer said I didn't have to remap.

Wyobusa,

Give Yoshimura a call. I have talked with their tech support people and they are pretty helpful. Get it from the source and see what "they" reccomend. Usually removing the PAIR system with solve the problem with a "full system" backfiring. I have not heard of slip on causing the problem?

I've got RS-3 race on mine, on occasion it will pop a little, usually on deacceleration from warp speed. They sound great but offer little change in performance, I just sound like I'm going faster. My mech said the stock ecu would accomodate the change without a pc so I am waiting to go gen3 street smart, and do the whole thing at one time. Nice quality on the yoshies, though. I really like the look. They will be on e-bay soon....

Mine is completly stock as yours with bolt-ons, I did not have any backfiring but did get alot of jerking when you get up to speed limit. Some say the TRE will fix it, some say the PC3, I dont know.
