You just found a bomb . . .

Yesterday was interesting. Let me ask you all this question.

You were walking through a store. Mid day, many customers wandering around doing thier shopping.
You notice a cardboard box sitting on the floor up against a display case.
It has a note taped on it that said, "Bomb inside. Ha Ha."
What would you do?

Would you take the note off, pick the box up and shake it, then use a knife to open it and look inside?

I didnt think so and yeah, niether would I.

However that is exactly what one of our hero Wal-Mart employee's did when they found this box. Then notified the management. Pure f****n genius.
And I still have to work with them. . .
Freakkin dumba$$!!

Yes they are everywhere esp at work. I operate overhead cranes that will carry heavy long aluminum(approx 13,500lbs and over 100 ft long)and I had to train this woman how to operate it today. Omg!!! (nothing against females in the workplace, mind you its a 60ft turn bar crane) but I bet a pencil would have snapped off if someone tried to shove it where the sun dont shine,she was scared to death!

Yesterday a guy here was in a parking lot placing fake pipe bomb on a car. He said he was testing where would be the optimal location to place them. Police said they couldn't arrest him because he didn't have explosives and didn't make any threats.

Actually just a bunch of rolled up newspapers so it technically not a real threat.
But still Wal -Mart does have a protocol for these situations.
This dumba$$ violated all of them and potentially put people lives at risk due to his own stupidity.
And nothing is being done about it. He still has a job and everyone laughed it off.


1996 Med cruise, while on board the USS Merrimack
A small coastal town in Egypt, in little restaurant we used to frequent for lunch.
We were sitting down eating when shore patrol walks in and tells us we all need to get back to the ship now. We asked why and the reply was simply "Get to the ship NOW!"
So we payed for lunch made our way back and made preps to get underway.
About two hours after we left the resaurant while the ship was just pulling away from shore, we could hear the sirens and started to see smoke from town.
We never actaully heard the blast that killed 9 people in that little cafe.
You never think that stuff can actually happen to you until it does.

I still pray that it does not happen again.

Thats why I take this stuff a little more seriously than most people.
