Well there I was out on solo patrol, just cruising in the Florida Alps when what do I spy?
Why not one nor two or even three
but FIVE Hernando Sheriffs cars hiding from me.
Plus one very old sedan acting as a radar nest.
This would be on Powell Rd. Now you'd think this would be
enough OT for the boys in green but noooooo as I strafe a
parallel twisty ( CR576 or Hayman Rd as known to the locals)
What do I see?? Why no less than eight waiting for me.
Well I ease on by shake my finger at silly one thinking to radar me.
I rush off to the local gas station were every one stops
(Prolly 1,000 a sunday) let everybody know where not to have fun.
Then do five laps round by those cops to warn every one.
Then having done my good deed (yes even I) I head off home
to finish my ride. But if you thought the fun was over then
like me you'd be wrong.
Heading up Bayshead (N to Belamy Bros.) I sweep left around big oak
bend & up to the kink. There in the middle of the road is a large dog sized deer.
Its just before noon so I was surprised.
The deer leaps into the woods but as I approach another deer
leaps after the first. I come to a stop then shift down to one.
Yep you gueesed it the second one jumps back in front again.
Finally they're gone and home I can go. But I'm not home safe yet oh no no no.
As I carve through the final S curve What do I see? ? ?
Why is an old KIA sportage In my lane heading for me.
Some guy that looks like Shaggy is driving hitting the apex.
And a girl wearing a grey half T-shirt with a big yellow
smilie face covering some nice sized boobs is riding shotgun pointing at me.
I bank hard right off of the road and into the dirt all
the time thinking this is gonna hurt.
Somehow I make it (musta been the karma from my good deed).
Funny how time just slows to a crawl at moments like these.
Trouble they say likes to come in threes, and life they say is one big circle.
Well The day started with leos and ended that way too.
A Pasco sheriff pulled a 180 thought to run me down.
After I hit 4th he had second thoughts.
Y'all be safe out there ya here?
