This is my brothers bike, I posted and edited this video myself! I am Nick Leonard! Anyway, the bike has alot more than 5hp worth of mods! the 160hp is at the rear wheels, not the crank. Anyway, this bike isnt geared! It has 100% stock gearing. And riding wheelies at 90 is nothing, he's pulled them up before at 130+. Its a great running bike, as you can tell, and the speedo is NOT fake! I repeat, it is NOT fake. The video was taken with a crappy Kodak DX4400 digital camera. Any doubts? I don't give a ****." #2 "Submitted by Nick October 23, 2005 11:07 PM
Im not going to get into it. I know this: He had it dyno tuned to the HP I showed presented in the video. He had the factory "speed limiter (@186mph)" removed when the people who dynoed it did some modifications to the computer. Although the speedo won't read past 189, the bike doesn't stop at 189. And yes, it bounced off the rev limiter in 6th gear, whats so special about that? If you do a theoretical to speed (incorporating gearing, tire size, RPM) you'll see that even in stock geared form, the bike will do 190+, theoretically. Now with the bikes top speed limiter removed and mods added, it can bounce off the rev limiter in top gear, pushing over 190 mph. Got anything else to say?"

Yes,

The video could use some editing and trimming. We dont need to see a red traffic light for 20 + seconds.

Or the drive through town to get to the t/s run.

Maybe a better camera angle, or a lighter screen when videotaping would't be a bad idea either.

You guys crack me up,just cause its not a busa everyone wants to doubt it.Get over it there is other fast bikes out there!!!!!

A guy I work with rides a 10 and we run them once or twice when we go out. Those things are really fast but, Not that fast. He just has a D&D on his and he can run with me but not run away from me.

Yes, the ZX-10 is fast.  Don't understimate this bike.  I personally had one pass me at about 185 mph, on my busa.  Then he proceeded to pass my cousin.  My cousin busa was reading 225 mph.  Don't get caught slipping.
put the crack pipe down

.
Oh by the way my cousin busa runs 8.90 consistently in the 1/4 weekly. The ZX-10 is impossible to hook up at the track. He still runs in the 9.20's. Crack is wack. Come down and get some.

One time at band camp, I saw this ZX10... Stories, stories, stories. They are so much more interesting when slightly embellished. By the way, last time you went fishing, just how big was that fish you caught?

Anyone else think it was funny that at the end it said all videsos filmed on a closed course, but there are several times in the video that you see other cars in front of him?

The truth is speedometers LIE regardless of mods. The fact that it pegged 189 long before RED LINE proves it. Hell my BUSA pegs the 185 before I even go into 6th gear. Does that mean it is really going that fast....HELL NO!

Do some math people with tire diameter, stock gearing and all the other crap factored in the bike will only top 192mph actual with all the planets alligned (governor removed). If you think that bike is topping 200mph, you really have NO IDEA WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT.

Otherwise get a GPS or get a clue, that' all there really is to say....

ZX-10 is FAST....blah blah blah.

Anybody have enough common sense to count his first 0-180 mph run which occured in about 10 seconds flat? The whole video is Bullsh!t.

That bike has either a major sprocket change to throw the speedometer off by that much or he has a speedo healer purposely calibrated way the hell off for the squidly drama affect.
I guess a 3rd choice is the speedometer is set to read in KPH instead of MPH.

Ok get your stop watches out, I have just over 9 seconds from 0-150 according to his speedo. Like everyones speedo it reads higher than actual speed. Also we have no way of knowing how stock the bike is. Video is probably real but I bet the speedo is off a bit. Looked really cool with that digital speedo, you can really see the number fly by.
