I really would like this thread to not turn into a Kawi bash session.

I was really hoping for more impressive stock #s. I thought for sure Kawi's new venture would have the Busa swept.. I guess now we have to wait for the tuners to see what can be unleashed.

Guys on boards will swallow their tongues when I post these results! Oh well, I know better. Time for some break-in miles. Left Dyno for Tony’s house. Not excited about roll-ons with 05 GSXR-1000 making more power and weighing 100 pounds less.[/QUOTE]

not guna bash, but i will say hahahahahahahhhahahahahahaaaaaaaahhhahahahaha! TOLD'EM SO! Brock's bike wasn't 'broken in' so Kawi camp arguers will bring that up, but fact that GSX-R K5 was wuppin its a$$ is proof-positive to me that once again, Kawi is more hype, than hyperformance. Now I just have to wait for the first sucker in Milw. to get one and roll up on me.....so I kin 'git'er done!

I hear ya. His bike is making great power and yes I know its brand spanking new to all the tuners, but I really thought they were gonna set the world on fire with their new bike.

Lately more than ever, I have really been caring less about overall power as much as how nice a decent weight reduction in the newer big bikes. I really hope the new Busa went on a diet.

Yeah.... I'll stick with my busa. At least I can keep up with a 13.5, AND fit a sandwhich under the seat.

another thing to remember here folks is that the busa engine with it's independent jug design is more like a "Component Stereo System" where it's always easy to upgrade and expand where the 13.5 engines single piece cast jugs/case design is more like an "Integrated Stereo System"...oh you can add an external here and there but powerwise?..ya pretty much got all your ever gonna get..which may be plenty for some as the 13.5 may be a scosh more powerful than my busa but...for the road race style riding I enjoy?...I'll never notice...'cept for that ugly! LOL!

I went by a local bike shop saturday to get some new gear just asked one of the guys in passing if they had gotten in 14's in,he replied they got in four but were sold immediately. He did have a black one in the warehouse waiting to be delivered that he let me check out,It's not quite as ugly in real life, but then again it was solid black.A coulple of the guys did get a chance to ride one, said it was super smooth, well rounded and felt like a smaller bike.Maybe it's not such a bad bike, just not for me.After a RM250,DR650,GSXR1000,TL1000R,and the Busa with no real failures to speak of I will just have to stick with Suzuki, they have just served me to well.
