Zx14 1/4 time vid

I know that a stock busa runs in the high 9's in the 1/4 mile but is that without any mods? (straight from the showroom). The link below shows a video of a zx14 running 9.17 @ 153 mph, however, they said that it has an igniter (what is that?), piped and suspension is strapped. I'm thinking that if the same was done to the busa it would run the same if not better.  Any thoughts?

Definitely. I haven't had anyone to ride around with. Pretty much all by my lonesome. I rode with some 600s but I had to back off too often. It would be awesome to ride around with another 'busa.

Ok guys dont beat me up, lol. I own a busa, love it, running 9.3. also own zx10, 2006 have ran best 9.90 so far, stock. Just bought zx1400, new, havnt ran it over 6000 rpm yet, but can tell you it feels like a terd compared to the other two. But i did buy this one just to Ride in somewhat confort. Oh, yea I work for a Kawasaki dealer, or i would own three Busa's. You can not beat it in any area.

Old news .. Since that was printed the bike has been 8.90s and i'm sure more seat time it will be 8.80s

I just picked up a zx14 also and yes it doesn't have the torq that a busa has from 3000 to 5000 but after that the zx14 pull much harder than Busa.... stock Vs stock that is...Wait till you get some miles on it and hammer it and you will find out for yourself...My 99 and Busa 05 will not run with the zx14 and the 2 modded Gixxers i waxed last Wensday night think so too ..lol...

Went to the track last night and saw a 14 for the first time in person. It ran 10.10, 10.08, 10.01 and ultimately 9.99 @ 141. The bike was stock except strapped. Pretty impressive, because most of the stock busas were going 10.30's. I must say that the 14 rider could ride, though, and some of the busa riders weren't that good of riders.

Untill you've actually raced you can't imagine how much difference the "Rider" makes. 1/4 mile goes by FAST!
