Got to run a ZX14 at the strip last week. He was strapped that's about all. He ran most he evening in the very high nines to 10 second flat range.. I think it is all about riders..some of the Busa drivers turn 10.6 while others can manage 9.6. The Kaw will have that variance too. It will be good racing. On our run, my air shifter missed the 4th to 5th shift. I turned a 10.069 he turned a 10.01

Yeah, as fast and big as all these new bikes are, so much of it depends on the rider and also the rider's weight. You put a 140 pounder that can ride on any of the new 1000's and watch them walk away. Im so tired of havin to spray them fools to beat em, but I weigh 200.

And on that note, I have a friend that weighs 165 on an '04 636(geared, pipe, pc3 & bolt ons) running 6.63 in the eighth which translates into 10.0's to high nines in the quarter. The kicker is he has the original clutches that the bike came with and they have 18,000 hard miles and over 200 passes on them. It just goes to show what a good light weight rider can do on any of the new bikes, even a 600.

Ok guys dont beat me up, lol. I own a busa, love it, running 9.3. also own zx10, 2006 have ran best 9.90 so far, stock. Just bought zx1400, new, havnt ran it over 6000 rpm yet, but can tell you it feels like a terd compared to the other two. But i did buy this one just to Ride in somewhat confort. Oh, yea I work for a Kawasaki dealer, or i would own three Busa's. You can not beat it in any area.

I just picked up a zx14 also and yes it doesn't have the torq that a busa has from 3000 to 5000 but after that the zx14 pull much harder than Busa.... stock Vs stock that is...Wait till you get some miles on it and hammer it and you will find out for yourself...My 99 and Busa 05 will not run with the zx14 and the 2 modded Gixxers i waxed last Wensday night think so too ..lol...

It's been pretty much hammered into the ground that the bikes are pretty even power vs power... but the busa has the 13.5 beat on so many other levels.

Plus, different magazines/people have had different test results with both bikes. Some have the 13.5 eeking out the busa and others have the busa eeking out the 13.5...

All Kawi did was make a bike that looks ugly and can finally "hang" with a busa... but only for 1 year.

07 is just around the corner...
