It just doesn't stop

Now that these air strikes have started, there's no way the Houthis will lay back and accept this attack, they will escalate which will prompt a ground war....I'd imagine we will see this occur within the month.

Either that or the Houthis will target any western forces and carry out terror attacks against them....in this way no western forces will be safe.
 
i don't think there will be a ground war , not sure this is really strategic global issue, if it involved China then yes

no doubt once Israel have cleared out Hamas we will return to the status quo of usual terrorist issues from time to time

I think a strike on the Houthis is imminent and will happen any day now seeing as they are rampantly attacking commercial shipping in international waters.....

War is coming and it could turn into a global conflict really easy....

Hi. Well I am happy about that. Now what should we do about the oil tanker? I would seize 10 of theres. What do others think the US should do.

Hi. Will the US ever fight to win again??????¿. A lot of people die when you fight like that. Some people on here know what I mean.

Well, it can one of two ways, the US does nothing except step up sanctions or they can go to war with Iran....

I think shipping needs to revert back to being escorted by warships.....or have some sort of armed security on board to repel boarders for high value shipping such as oil and food stuffs....

As for fighting to win.........mostly conflicts are fought over ideology and that is a very difficult thing to fight....the largest and mightiest militaries in the world are unable to defeat it. If the US were to fight in a conventional war, I believe it would be victorious.

Even i the war you were in was not set up for success......allowing an enemy to have sanctuaries where they can go lick their wounds and re-arm is not the way to success....this also happened in Afghanistan where the Taliban were able to go to other countries to escape pursuit....these countries would not allow coalition troops and equipment to cross their borders.....over time NATO started to retract their troops and handing the AOR to the Afghan National Army....when the Taliban chose to leave their sanctuaries and reenter Afghanistan the ANA dissolved leaving behind their equipment and weapons to the Taliban.....and we know how that story goes...

I was reading the Vietnamese government hosted a bunch of American vets and treated them better than the US government ever did....

This is one area where Trump was right. He felt that we were being suckers providing military escorts to all numbers of countries free of charge. Only to have them profit from selling us the very same cargo we protected in the first place.

Eff that.

Without said naval protection, these cargo ships are vulnerable....there's a cost associated with protection. Perhaps shipping companies should pay a premium for this but we all know where they will get the off-set......from consumers....

Of course I'm not talking only US naval forces, other countries would need to step in including my own...

The consumers are paying for lost cargo.
 
Read past the headlines. They didn’t just seize a tanker out of the blue. It’s involved in a dispute that’s been going on for some time regarding our seizure of their oil. As for this tit for tat kind of ‘war’ I say BS to those kinds of activities. If someone makes war on us we should remove their ability to do it again, not just bomb something of theirs in reaction to them bombing something of ours. If someone is trying to kill me I don’t just punch them in the face as a response.

Hi. Is free speech already gone in Canada? Jordan Peterson is warning about the demise of free speech he talks about ideological control and bureaucratic over reach. And of being coerced into speech mandates. The erosion of intellectual freedom and political correct education to the rise of authoritarianism and ideological indoctrination. His license is on the line now because he is being what he has to say which is different than whar he can not say. So is good or wha?
