08 Busa Leaking oil with just 11k mies

Update.... So I took my baby back to the dealer and voiced my concerned on how badly this could have ended up and that it is unacceptable. They agreed that it shouldn’t have happen. The offered me a free oil changed and reimbursement for new amsoil and oil filter or I could have used there Silkolene 10W40 4T Pro-4 which was $17 a qt.

I decide to give the silkolene a try.
So far it has been just as smooth shifting as Amsoil. Will most likely go back with amsoil given that I can get it for almost half the price. Will do a UOA at the end of the run to see how well the Silkolene stayed in grade etc..
Will always change the oil myself in the future

Congrats on finding the problem. And that my friend is why doing your own maintenance is a very good idea - you save money, you know it's done right, you get a great deal of satisfaction, you acquire the skill which stays with you for the rest of your life, and you don't have to take it to/from the shop, waste time, and then wonder what else can go wrong. Not to mention the level of soul bonding with the bike which occurs in the process - warms your heart, and is priceless. Cheers to that!

Now days it seems like u cant get quality work..no matter what your having done..
Im really picky about my bike like most of us are..and just the thought of someone that came off the street working on my bike..or the mechanic being careless ..i know most places want to rush who ever is working on your bike to get to the next project and not taking the time they should..
I was just wondering for the guys who change there own oil, have u looked into a oil filter relocation kit?
I have one on my gen1 and i dont even have to take the fairings off to change the oil..but u have to watch what u are doing because u can still get oil in the fairing..

Original Suzuki filters actually have the amount of turns needed written on the side of the filter.
Does spamsoil mention anything on their filters?

At least with Silkolene, you'll have an API certified oil in the bike.

I dont think amsoil has the amount or turns needed on the filter

i believe amsoil still to be a great oil even with out the API Certification. their whole lineup produces good UOA's on Bobistheoilguy.com

The bike is loving the Silkolene. Shifts are real smooth
