08 Hayabusas FOR SALE WHY????

Some people buy these without knowing what they are getting themselves in to.

My first thoughts when I red the first post.:beerchug:

EVERYONE when they go to the bike dealer seem to notice the busa stand out from EVERY other bike.

Once I saw this heavy-set Asian guy walk in and was talking to the salesman. He said he liked the busa, and the dealer asked "how much riding experience do you have?" The guy said, "oh, I've never ridden anything before."

after a couple of hundred miles on the busa, i was sorely missing the nimbleness of the gsxr1000. now that i've ditched the busa exhausts and gotten the rev's up i'm looking forward to every ride. when i first got the gsxr1000 i was a tad worried, because it is so insanely fast, i thought surely i'll be in jail soon or my bike will be confiscated. i did try and sell it quickly, at a loss, but it worked out fine in the end and i had a blast on it. i even got to do 500mls+ on one day, which is no mean feat on scotlands roads,. about 10hrs. i can feel that worryingness creeping back in with the busa now. fingers crossed the police will be favourably immersed (in something)
PS i realy wasn't happy with the windblast on the gsxr1000, and that was a pig factory in buying the busa.

Economy has been ***** slapped and a lot of good people with it, so the things that are expendablbe go first. I already sold my R1 to an Army cat, and the GSXR may be next. Would really hate to lose the '08 but it is not my daily means of transportation. Worse case scenario, I may have to throw on the ski mask, and catch som fool slipping on the ZX14 forum

they twist the wrist and get skeered!

bought a drag bike off a friend real cheap a few years back...he bought it, took it to the track, and stood it up in 3rd gear...he loaded it back up, took it home, called me and ended up selling it to me for much less than he paid for it :beerchug:

All I know is I got an '08 with cf Yoshi slipons for $8900 . The bike had a whopping 302 miles on it . I don't sit around wondering why . I'm just thankful for the price I paid .

I am not real proud of this, but like a lot of people I have had to tighten my belt lately and actually sold my children into slavery so I could keep the Busa.

I felt bad about it for a couple of days, but then the Texas weather got warm again and I went for a ride.

I'm good with it now!

and you didn't put them up for auction on here? you could have probably gotten better money for them than you did on Craig's list

I don't understand the "too fast" reason for selling one's bike. I'm likely once again displaying my infinite ignorance, but a motorcycle is only as fast as the rider allows it to be.
Do you mean riding experience?

Congratulations on your purchase. You'll love it!

during my break in period, the bike roamed the streets like a kitten. People said wow you're gonna kill yourself on that bike......."if I want to..."

Everyone has their reasons but I'm hangin' onto mine. If money was a crunch I'd let her go if I had to but I imagine it wouldn't be long until I'd straighten things out and be onto another lady.

Alright around here we do intro threads which include pix :poke:

I don't believe it has anything to do with the bike's power, in C mode it's like a Honda 919, or a Bandit, for those who get skeered.

Look at ebay statistics today:

Motorcycles for sale: 6,342

Major brands included in this number:

Harley 1,897
Honda 1,068
Yamaha 733
Suzuki 599
Kawasaki 568

If we look at Suzuki:

GSX-R - 188
Boulevard - 71
Hayabusa - 55

The Busa seems to hold it's value well.

Some of the bikes might be demo models, I wonder where all the "08 launch" bikes ended up? Pretty bad deal to buy a bike & ride it a couple of days and sell it. Surely some impulse buys...OMG lookit dat bike I gotta have it!!!!!!!!! Doh, gonna loose the house.... Some guys probably got caught with hotties on the back... "it's me or the bike Dumb a$$"
