'09 'busa...meet Mr. Asphalt

:welcome: Bummer bout the drop. It happens though. Everyone that rides has dropped a bike at one time or another. Damage looks lite, might be able to buff it out. If not, then they are called chartecter marks. :)

You've got a real beauty there, take your time getting to know her. You treat her right, she will treat you right. Always respect her!

Enjoy the ride!!!!

Thx for the comments. The chain is only a temporary measure for right now, though I like the comment about the bike tube to protect the rims, I'll try that out.

2 chains around the wheels to keep it from rolling off somewhere, and a longer chain to bolt it to the stairs. Mostly it's deterrent, I know most bikes are stolen in the backs of vans, if you want it you'll get it, but it's a bit of peace of mind for me until the insurance kicks in. I can't afford paying 13k for a beautiful memory :(.

Speaking of which, which system do you recommend I get first. I like the idea of LoJack, but was thinking of a perimeter sensor/alarm first (cheaper).

That suck dude, b carefull I know the feeling also I dropped my TL 1000 and it was kinda the same way I fought it the whole way down(just got it back from getting some air brush work done) and I'm a big guy once those big bike's want to go they just go. There was no damage, but very hard to lift back up. Good luck and ride slow at first.:welcome:

glad ur okay and their is only minimum damage. take care. and oh yeah, frame sliders

Frame sliders are your friend.....especially when you remove the rear stand, and you put the side stand UP while reinstalling the fairing......as me how I know.... :oldcool:

A lesson learned is a valuable lesson in deed...welcome aboard !!!! :super:

:welcome: aboard you took the New right out of her huh....

check with some of the site sponsers they will hook you up with some frame sliders, im using vortex on mine...

Well, now that ya know what its like to try to stop 500lbs in motion and ya got the newness skuffed off of her, what's next? :poke: It's a tough lesson to learn on a brand spanking new bike. Look at as a positive, now you won't be scared of dropping her!
:welcome: to the .oRg

Keep it covered, and consider no drill frame sliders, by TRex.

Keeping it covered is a good idea..'specially because of the elements. The added benefit of keeping eyes off your baby is good too.
BTw...where in Montana are you?

:welcome: and don't feel bad just about everyone here has dropped
a bike or three:whistle: Be careful and enjoy:beerchug:

Sorry can't help it that was funny:laugh:

But shame your new bike!

Any tears????

Don't worry we all do stupid things I dropped my 08 whilst riding over an empty water bottle.

You will find that the marks will improve dramatically with a dark color coded polish.

Good luck...
