The ZX still owns me at LACR (he is down to 10.50x), but, I am on a diet and I hope to lose enough weight to even things up. It is cold where I live so, we are not riding too much. After my last ride to scuff in my new rear tire a few weeks ago, I had to get a new set of pads for the rear brakes since they wore all the way down to the metal. It was a great ride down a nice long mountain road with some fairly tight curves thrown in there. We basically used 1st and 2nd gears only. That is when we found out that both the Busa and the ZX can experience brake fade when ridden quickly in the mountains. I think the pace really picked up when I attempted to pass Brakelate on the inside in a 40 MPH corner. The Busa handles OK for such a big heavy thing. The Busa can also loft the front wheel shifting from 2->3 with the stock gearing, which gave me real big eyes. Needless to say my new OEM rear Bridgestone and his new Shinko are now fully scuffed in and ready for action. We will be back at the strip soon, but losing 50 pounds will take me considerable time, so, I am not hurrying back.

Keep us posted, I liked reading about the harmless competition you guys have amongst friends.

I will give updates, but, it is not harmless competition. It is war. Suzuki versus Kawasaki. Tetge versus Brakelate. And I will defeat that Kawasaki riding punk yet.

And, if Brakelate does come back, watch out when he leaves your house. The neighbors always bring their kids and pets in to their houses when they see him in his car, or on his bike. If you look closely, you can see that the rubber is darker where he sat and heated his tires before laying 100' of rubber in front of my house. This is the mug we are dealing with...
