A guy on a GoldWing egged me on, once....

I've learned to just let them go... because they KNOW they can't beat a busa, anyway...

I'd rather race cars.... because a-holes in cars deserve to be shut down! But... I don't race anybody at all... I am humbled, now, because of my crash. Maybe later I'll start riding my busa back to normal and start hounding dudes in Porsches and Ferraris. Where I live, I see a Ferrari every single day.... even 5 to 20 every day. That's a good quote, too!

In LA, though... I have been passed on the 405 while splitting lanes... a gixxer passed me once. Hey, it's not because his bike is faster... it's because he is the more experienced rider in LA while splitting lanes on his bike... so I let him by...

He didn't 'beat a busa', he was just going by one that 'let him go by'.... see? We know our busa can kick any bike on the road... but it will be challenged by a few like the 14 (depends on rider skill). So... I always like to mess with cars... just to see what they have to offer!

I like to ride alone just because it gives me "peace and speed all wrapped into the same emotion"... so that's what I've always done. I get more satisfaction knowing that I'm on a ten thousand dollar machine that just waxed a 100k Porsche more than knowing that my bike could beat another 10k bike...

hayabusa forever! Charlie Busser (will always ride! no crash will keep me down! thanks to all .org members, especially NINJA KILLER!!!!!)

but...

It's in my mind, now, that these socal roads might not be as sticky as the AL roads were.... and I'm being careful, more than ever!

I should say "will be" because I haven't been on my bike in the real world, yet, after my crash... but, soon, I will be! I can't wait!

If he had an S&S motor,I highly doubt if it was a measley 1200 cc's.
Mine in the picture is a 100 C.I. which equates to approx. 1639 cc's.
I can see how he could give you a bit of trouble.

Brendan, you're another I want to thank.... because I've talked w/ you on the phone in the past... and you're a straight-up, real, guy! On the forums we don't always agree... but on the phone we always found our mutual respect and I loved talking with you...!!!!!

Hmm, forgot to put in my HD story.

Fat, hairy, UGLY HD biker pulls up next to me at a light and looks the 'Busa over REAL good. Tells me I "got a real perty bike." I just smile and say thank you. Before the light turns green he says "is that a Hayabusa?" (Apparently he can't read the writing on the side?)

After answering "yes" he says "damn, anything else I would have raced ya. The light turns green and he waves and putts along.

That felt good:)

potato. like the above post, any 600 would've killed him. Haven't met one yet I couldn't put 20 car lengths on in the blink of an eye including a supercharged one. Too many sportbikes around these parts, the hardleys won't even try anymore. Different type of motorcycling alltogether.....I'll pass...

A kill is a Kill . Even if it was the old and infirmed riding on what amounts to a motorized wheel chair . Just kidding , Good Story and a good read.

How about pics of the entire bike? I never knew you had toyz like that

I kill the hubby's Harley just by parking next to it!! LOL I did race and beat the hubby on a friend's Harley with a JIMS motor (cost as much as my entire Busa), front wheel comes up when he gets on it and it's a Road King...it's fast...but not fast enough LOL

Hey, a win is a win...

My buddy just bought a built Harley, it is pretty damn cool. Probably the strongest 103 inch motor here in Idaho. Many hours on the dyno and custom made. it has 146 hp. Pretty damn good. it pulls very hard and can do 90 mph wheelies. This is one of those big harleys with the radio and everything. can't beat me but if I am not paying attention he can pull on me. fun to play with him tho.

It is a street glide

(NickHayabusa @ Nov. 26 2006,23:34) Wow.....any 600cc and up can beat that bike.  A buddy of mine has a 1200 sportster all customed with the same goodies as this guy.  With my 636, 1st gear we were side by side...2nd I pulled by him and after that I was gone.  That's with a Ninja636 '03!  THEN, on top end on the 636...I blew by him while he was at revlimiter.  He admitted defeat and said he has to get a sportbike...haha...and that was just on a 636cc ninja with 117rwhp!

My conclusion to your story is your either really overweight or need to manhandle your bike better or just can't handle a 1299cc bike yet.  The hell with a harley...they're slow, I can't believe you said he was fast....GAWD!
go learn what a tre is.. and i suggest you start to learn about other bikes and stop beleaving the busa is the fastest thing on earth... your like a 20 year old in a viper....

i got to go into harley davidson powertrain division in milwaukee back in january. not really alot to see, they have machines there dating back to the 30's that still make parts with. i found it interesting how they test there motors there.
they do rebuilds there also. i know s&s is a different beast, but based upon the motors i saw being built.
