2010 Shelby Mustang GT500

we have a 2008 zo6 vette and 2008 cobra stang that is modded and it still dont come close to the zo6, the new stang dont stand a chance to hang with it.

If you are talking power-to-weight of course...

What I was getting at is for the same money, the GT500 will be faster in the 1/4-mile (same with about any Mustang). Does it take 100rwhp more for the GT500 to hang with the Z06, yes but bang-for-buck the GT500 still wins...

Either can be faster, it just depends how much money you want to spend on each.

The GT500-KR is a joke for the price! You are paying for a name with that version.

A regular GT500 with a few grand in mods for you...

Don't get me started on the bone stock Z06 that ran 10's...

Sports car -vs- Musclecar if you want to get technical (completely different class). Don't get me wrong, I love the Z06 but several of my friends have them. I see them everyday where I don't see many GT500's or Vipers....

Bone stock Viper SRT10... ;)

I'm greety..I want it all  it's got to be quick, alot of top speed and blister the turns all in one right out of the box. Love those vettes.[zo6]But it don't matter I'll never own one

To go extremely quick straight you'll give something else up.It's all in what ya want.

I am offended by this thread and it shoud be deleted...

cause i cant afford one right now:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::poke:

How about the 1965 Shelby Daytona that was selling for 1.68 million. :)

Is that price before the dealers slap on an addendum ? I haven't looked at Mustangs since I traded my '04GT for an RX8 last year, but when I did the dealer near me had a Shelby marked up over $20k above sticker .

they were $42K here without any "limited availability surcharges" base sticker on the stock one was just around half that price..

Or you could go with the 2010 KR (King of the Road). They are available and they're only in the low 80's. But it has the same motor and HP as the 40k version.

Good enough lookin' sled...not into cars, really; but I wonder if the build quality on American cars is going to be enhanced with all the 'rearranging' the manufacturers are doing these days...

My uncle just unloaded a Shelby Mustang, one of the newer ones...he hated that he never could get the sound out of it that I have in my little '95 GT, and I've had the owner of a Roush Mustang tell me the same...

Ford needs to bring back that 5.0...few mods, sounds good, get some extra HP...

I'm a fan, but lately I spot the Challengers and just had my first new Camaro sighting last Wednesday...I think the Mustang needs to do some catching up and I'm a huge Mustang fan...

yeah i was at a ford delership a few weeks ago and they had a 2010 GT mustang for $38k ??? 10k dealer markup

sorry i have clumsy fingers our vette and stang are both 09's.. we have over six hundred horsepower in the stang with the modds and it still dont keep up with the stock 505 horse power zo6. sorry i love both cars and the cobra is mine but thr vette is just a brute!!

Me, I like the Shelby 700 HP Supercharged Snake. But, all of'em have been spoken for, for this year
