So glad I bought a blue one though that vid proves they are the fastest as I always suspected ... better tell my mate to throw away his Brocks system as well sigh

197 hp at the crankshaft at sea level sounds correct(standard). My K8 in Johannesburg in stock condition at approx. 1600m above sea level did 167hp at rear wheel.

Y'all need to remember that SA is in the southern hemisphere. And as we all know, south of the equator, water drains in the opposite direction as in then northern heisphere. The same phenomona affects turning of the drum on the dyno, and how it reacts to the crankshaft. All of these forces equal a 3% to 10% impact.

;-)

What you guys are forgetting is this is the blue/gold busa. The most powerful, fastest busa ever made.....yea I have one:thumbsup:

Ask Freponyride the pipes were all his idea. He's got pictures posted on how to do mod.He will also do it for you .Speak to him.

So thanks for answering our question about the short pipe mod, now lets address those ridiculous HP # claims shall we?:poke::rofl:

I am sure by now you guys must think that i am a Bull ****ter but i would like to highlight the fact that my bike was not tested on a dyno which i own.It was tested on two totally different dynos by two guys whom have never met each other and under two different altitudes and temp. This is suppose to be one of the most powerful bikes in the world and i can not understand why 197 or 211hp sounds like bull**** when a little 600 is capable of producing 130hp.When this bike was launched in South Africa it was claimed to have produced 197hp at the wheel. We have guys that have spent lots of cash on Yosh systems and can "only" deliver 181". The question is this, how much power did your bike produce before any mods and how much after? How much did Yosh promise to deliver and did they? Compare the 08Busa to all the other bikes on the market and how do you fare it against them. I have personally seen two identical brand new R6 deliver two totaly diferent hps. Let us settle this once and for all. All 08 Busa owners PLEASE tell us what hps they have on their standard bikes and we can then decide. I would also like to know what fuel you guys run on because i noticed a huge difference on my bike when i changed from Unleaded to Lead Replacement. I can not believe that a guy will just change is exhaust and challange other bikes at a drag strip and do so well and not believe that maybe his bike actually produces more hp than is friends dyno shows him.Get a second opinion cause i have even though it may sound rediculous. I reckoon the key word here is the word "Africa" Jungle Power Buddy. Oh one more thing, i think the 181hp Busa Dyno run was just about to surprise the owner and his mate when it run out of ink at 10K rpm. Also look at you torgue buddy, not impressive.

Your dyno shops equipment is either not calibrated, or they are tweaking your numbers to sell services! Slightly modded 08 Busas will not make 211hp at the rear wheel. Don't believe the hype Bruce.

The claim that Busa 08 has 197 rwhp is incorrect and must have been done by some local with or w/o better knowledge. Suzuki Company claims 194 or 197 on the crank, which means more than 20 horses less on the wheel. When Suzuki claims e.g. 197 horses on the crank, this is also not for all bikes that roll off the line. It is for a good individual that is used for marketing purposes; high power figures sell well, which they are well aware of.

Anyway, the Busa 08 is the most powerful stock bike on the planet up to now, so there is no reason to feel bad.

You sir are an bone head.:moon: Just go to your local Drag Strip and check out your MPH in the 1/8th or 1/4 mile with 211hp you should be doing 125 in the 1/8th and in150s in the 1/4 eazy. The Suziki factory says 197 at the crank not the rear wheel.

Let us just for the sake of keeping the "Bull ****" & peace of this site say that both dyno runs are incorrect and they just inflated the figuers and it actually is 197hp at the crank and about 177 at the rear wheel (which i can accept).
Does this mean that my "Ghost Rider" friend has paid big dollars on his Yosh exhaust system for an extra 4hp? **** buddy who do you compete against? cause in South Africa our Afrikaaners would eat you up like Biltong on the track.
I still have not recieved any dyno readings on a std 08 Busa to get an idea on the average hp.What fuel do you guys run your Busas on?

Look up the cycle mags that did dyno runs on a stock 08 Busa when it was introduced. I really don't waste my money putting a stock bike on a dyno to check what the mags have already done. The mags put the 08 Busa around 177 to 173 rear wheel HP. Your muff mod would NOT add over 30 hp and here at the Org you are insulting our intelligence.
