clutch mod, manual tensioner, mx4t oil. Damn, these 3 simple things have made her so much happier it's unreal. I thought I heard something about marriage come out of the intake roar...? But that was only at 8-9K rpm...or did I...? Never mind.

Beer Nuts?

Lanta I have not got a chance to look into this clutch mod. Can you explain what,s involved and how the new clutch feels. Is it like the hub that u replace or what?

carlito I posted some stuff 'bout it---do NOT start this job without(shut up beer nuts) a 30mm 1/2 drive socket. It's actually really easy with the proper(I said SHUT UP NUTS) tool(s). You take 2 gizziewhoppers out and put one in, it simplifies that CRAP outta the whole clutch assembly big time. Lever feels a lil tighter(more hand work) but the responsiveness is well worth it, dude. It's a WHOLE different clutch, and I LIKE IT!

GO BROCK!!!

More hand work 'Lanta ???!!!!!

You need to find a chick!!

Another couple of things

Check all bolts and fastners
EBC HH sintered front pads
Stainless front brake lines and fittings
Centre stand
Redline injector cleaner
Clean fuel system filters regular
Balance throttle bodies
Check TPS setting
Change return line fuel hose for thicker auto hose (8mm i.d.)
Worm drive hose clamps
Check Plugs regular

If it isn't allready, paint it black & charcoal. Its faster.

There's plenty more. Would you like me to continue??

Nuts + hangover ;)

Gotta agree with NumbNuts (as much as I hate to!! ;) )

Except for the center stand... ;)

It's like putting a battleship anchor on a speedboat!!

2 minutes with a hand grinder fixes the side stand issue, period.

'Lanta,

Is that the mod with the heavier springs? And if so, wouldn't it be also wise to include Motorhead's bolt-on mod to strengthen the clutch cover as well??

My top 3??

1.) Aftermarket exhaust (including PAIR removal and PCII installation, I consider this to be one complete mod).

2.) Dymag wheels (with Michelin Pilot Sports, you'll swear you're riding a 750 sportbike after!!).

3.) Aluminum fan (s h i t can the el-cheapo plastic unit).

I could go on with a few more, but I would consider the top two to redifine the bike as you know it (stock speaking).

Just my .02. :)

BTW, if it isnt already, paint it Blue/Silver!! The Black/Charcoal may be faster, but the Blue/Silver has more torque!! :)

Fast Eddie

The only reason for the centre stand, not so it wont fall of side stand. It cant anyway as I ALWAYS LEAVE IN 1ST GEAR AND ROLL UP AGAINST COMPRESSION, ( :D) Is so that I can safely work on it, both front end and back end without having to fart around with a paddock stand.

How much are front and back paddock stands?? can you transport them around on the bike??
So I loose 6mph top end. Awwwww Sh1t. Thats really gonna ruin the bike :D :D :D :D :D

Nuts ;)

thanks for agreeing with me!!

HEY NUMBUTTS I'M WITH YOU,WOULDN'T HAVE MY BIKE WITHOUT A CENTERSTAND,AND AS I'VE ALSO SAID BEFORE AS WELL, ARE ALL THESE GUYS TRYING TO SET SOME KING OF LAND SPEED RECORD OR SOMETHING. SO WHAT, A COUPLE OF POUNDS MORE WHO F*UCKING CARES 2MPH SLOWER TOP END,THE BUSA THE FASTEST ANYWAY, BESIDES GOTTA GIVE THE 12R,S SOME HOPE OF CATCHING US!!!!

first off, after I put the center stand on, bike looked real funny, like not all there.

Now I got used to her. its lovely.

Wouldn't swop it back. Thats for certain

Nuts ;)

Hayawoody,

Not everyone is lightening their bikes to set land speed records. Some are doing it for handling reasons as well.

The lighter the bike, the better it handles at any speed.

Warp speed is fun, but blowing an R1 away in the twisties with a lighter 'Busa is even more fun! :)

I own both an R1 an a Busa and I don't care how light you make the Busa, given the same riding skills it can't even come close to the handling of an R1 in the twisties.

Well, when you get your 'Busa as light as your R1, then come back with your comments. :)

I can tell you from experience with the owner of a sickly lightened 'Busa (around 400 pounds even) as a riding buddy and a fellow R1 owner/riding buddy that you're dead wrong.

It doesn't take too much "lightening" for the 'Busa to be able to keep up in the twisties (I said keep up not blow away), but the 'Busa wins everytime reeling 'em in on the straights. Effortlessly.

Put the combo together (if you have the disposable income) and an R1 is toast.

I am not bad mouthing the R1, I'd love to have one as well. ;)

Try this, put a set of full carbon or custom carbon Dymags on your 'Busa and come back and tell us what you think. Trust me, it's a whole different bike, I speak from experience.
