45 mpg?????

I have 2,600 miles and never reset trip2 either. I'm at 36mpg. Now of course, I hit 100 most every day. Few nice stretches on the way to/from work with no cages.

The Busa is a sports-touring bike. If you use it in touring mode, its possible. Personally, I use the sports mode most of the time (90%) and am at 28 over-all.

Where is the switch that changes it from touring to sports?

I've never seen that before.

Oh yeah, that's right, I have a LE...they are just sports.

You're not going to get it riding hard or in town. Mine will only do it when riding out on the Interstate or long roads with little stops just cruisin 85 or below

about 42mpg is the best i've ever gotten, and that was on the highway taking it easy at about 80 mph.

Today on a 200 mile ride the traffic was pretty heavy but decent speeds about 55-65 and I had the thing pegged at the 50 mpg mark for half of the ride. If there was less traffic we probably would of opened it up more and would of dropped to 32 mpg. With fuel $ I was happy bwith the 50.

I got a best of 41 mpg on a 300 mile day trip untill a clown in a Ford Mustang Cobra attempted to out accelerate my '04 Busa LE at a stop light; he was a fast learner and tucked his tail between his legs.

I ride around town mostly and I get around 32mpg. I like the keep the rpms above 3k just to hear the Yoshi's sing. I'm satisfied with 32mpg, it's better than the 12mpg I get in the Lightning.

I was getting average 38 mpg blasting around town stock.
Since adding Acrapovic bolt ons and a PCIII, I now get avg.42 mpg blasting around town. Cant complain here.

I can ride comfortably and not "too" slow and lazy and still get 42-45, I once got 51, NO JOKE, I was riding on a 55 speed highway, doing about 65 for a good 170 miles, and when I stopped it showed 51. But I was in 6th just limping along! My worst ever was in Reno, going stoplight to stoplight, got 28! Ouch. I try to stay away from cities!!!! Open country road is my favorite.
