Ok, dont know if this helps anyone, but I have been playing with the whole gas milage thing on all of my vehicles, including the Busa this morning.
for me, in my cars and on my Busa it seems about 61 to 62mph is my max speed for best fuel economy
For the busa, when I was riding into work today, if I sat straight up I could do 55mph and get 50mpg.
However anything over 55mph sitting up my mpg would start to drop.
I then tucked behind my double bubble and was able to get to 62mph and maintain 50mpg.
While I probably looked pretty sillY wearing full armor gear (pants, boots, gloves, jacket, helmet) and riding a hayabusa at 62mph tucked. it is the only way I can fight back and stick my fricken nose at oil prices.
I am determined to squeeze every mile out of every gallon I have and if I look silly doing it, oh well.
On another note, changing my driving habbits on my van, I have gone from avergaing about 22mpg to about 30mpg just by keeping it under 65 on the freeway.
Just thought I would share
