No that is not normal for 900 miles. There is no reason for the center to be flat after those few miles. I would take it back to the dealer and look for a warranty claim or adjustment.

Do a search on these tires and you'll uncover a history on them. Mr. Bogus and myself are a few who've had issues with the front tire.

What's you air pressure ???

+1

Also, are you using the stock specified tire size, or are you squeezing wider rubber on your wheels?

I'm seeing a lot of people playing with tire sizes, and the results are normally weird wear patterns, among other things. I recently encountered an error made by a dealership in the installation of a tire that was off by 5MM, and the result was a completely flat apex of the tire.

37 psi after we checked with my dial,I sent him on his way with 42F/38R. I've never seen that much of an edge before,I had them mounted for him about a month ago and remembered a totally round profile. He'd told me he dropped the presure just the other day when he went riding 2up with his wife

My bud had the same wear pattern on his Dunlops on his 08 CBR1000 at only a few thousand miles.???

OEM sizes, I'm not real knowledgble about dual compound tires. I'm always getting whatevers the stickiest, and consider my tires a disposable trade-off

Yo dude... I've got 2000 miles on my 021's and they are wearing perfectly... (I do a lot of in-town/slab riding as well)... I think BS did admit to MR BOGUS that they had a "bad batch" of compound - don't know the SNs though.

Good luck with your search.

Why would you drop the pressure when you add more weight ???

John, mine are wearing just fine. I put a new set on to go the spring bash, rode up there, plus my local riding, then on to Eureka in June. Mine still look brand new with say, 2500 miles on them. You could have gotten a bad batch like Bogus had, they replaced his for free. Hit him up bro. Be careful on those.

Thats good to hear, for what he wanted out of his tires to suit his riding, I thought he made a great choice,at around 300 miles he bought his bike over and asked me to take it for a ride because he said the front felt light and twitchy. After a quick 20 miles, I told him thats how it feels with new skins because his last set was worn worse than HT's set above. At that time they still were looking just fine. Once again thanks to everybody one and all for your replies. I told him to stop by tomorrow to check out this post,as always great answers from great peep's :bowdown::super:
