99-07 FrankenBusa starts up and dies right away - WHY???

Over the last year, I've been pretty much collecting parts and building a complete 2004 busa out of 99-07 parts. Today, I finally put some 94 octane fuel in the tank, checked for leaks and fired her up. She comes to life for less then a second and dies... I'm not a mechanic but was wondering if anyone can guide me... I don't mind taking it into the dealer but if I can avoid $84,95/hr fee's, I'D BE HAPPY!!!

Here are some bike infos:

It's a 2004 engine in a 2000 frame. I'm using a 2000 fuel tank with external fuel pump. Pretty much everything else is 2004

Any help would be greatly appreciated, seriously!

I'd put a gauge on the fuel rail and make sure I'm getting good fuel pressure. You can check and make sure there's no kinks and probably pull the line to the rail and make sure you get a good steady stream, but I'd check fuel.

Air filter Good to go ?

Battery fully charged and good ?

Fuel / Fire / Air

Yeah good one Adox. So the fuel lines are not kinked. Fresh gas (94 octane) with brand new fuel lines. Battery is also brand new and BMC air filter new too. I'm going to go try playing with the fast idle now and get back to you all. Maybe it needs a little adjusting. Keep in mind guys that this bike was built over two years using parts I ordered and had here. This is the bike and where I'm at right now. Thanks again.

I've never thought about the fast idle not working, but that could be an issue on your ride.

Alright guys, no luck for me :-S So doesn't seem to make much of a difference if I use fast idle or not... they both give the same result. Almost sounds like a forced shut down which leads me to suspect a possible faulty tip over sensor, kick stand sensor or something... I really dont wanna keep forcing it to start up and draining a brand new battery or possibly flooding the engine so I'd rather explore all possibilities right now since this was a ground up mix matched parts builds...
Thanks everyone!

If it runs just long enough before shutting down maybe you can to the paperclip trick and get it to throw a code on the dash?

Nah dude... It barely even turns over. I just hear it come to life for about a 1/4 second and dies before it dies out. But you got me wondering... WHAT THE HELL IS THE PAPERCLIP TRICK??? I'll be in the garage all day trying to figure it out and checking around... Thanks guys! I really appreciate the help!

you can eliminate the tip over sensor kick stand safety kill switch etc...bike wont turn over if any of them are tripped. It sounds like to me maybe you have a fuel pump issue....Air is easy you got it....check fuel rail pressure i bet you arent gettign fuel....Also check and make sure you are getting spark. Also the ecu changed there in the gen 1. Are you using the correct ecu for the motor you have? Are you confident the ecu you have is good?

The ECU I'm am using was either off a 2004 or 2006 so for sure that's not the issue. I purchased the 99-00 fuel pump from a reputable seller on E-Bay which said was tested and worked perfect before I purchased it but I'll double check myself. Any easy ways of checking fuel pressure? I live in a condo building so ideally I wouldn't want exposed fuel to stink up the place. I didnt start investigating any proof of sparkage but I guess I'll take a look too. Going downstairs and I'll be right back.
