A little Garage Floor Bling Bling...

The only thing I see wrong with it is all the holes. If you drop small parts (springs, hardware, and the like) or spill liquids or just bring in dirt it is going to require some work to clean. Other than that it looks cool. :D

I can see small parts, Clean up would definatly be a little more complicated...But thats what the shop Vac and drip pans are for... :D

I dunno, Price seemed right though, could make your Garage look all professional like...

hmmm good point there about the oil spills or sticky coca cola spills, you'd probably hav eto unsnap the whole floor from teh corner on down to where teh spills was to brush and clean the stain.......hmmmmm  still looking.....

OK how about just aenough for a nice little color matched parking/detailing pad. Give the Busa a real nice place to live. Not a place to be torn down maybe. Though the sticky soda could be a pain. I think it's a cool Idea, maybe you Northerners could use it to properly frome the Busa while it's sitting in the Living room all winter...

I bet it would be a quick way to get it up off the floor and out from under your bike though...

Man, I may have misunderstood the add, but it looked pretty expensive to me.
If I wanted to do my garage.
Say 20' X 22'
It said to multiply the 2 numbers together.
20x22=440square feet
Each box has 20 square feet.
440 divided by 20=22 boxes
22 boxes X $48= $1056

YIKES, did I cypher that correctly?

Your Cyphering sounds bout right, you can put your shoes back on... :D

OK I will revise my earlier statement I guess it really isn't all that cheap, if you are going to do the whole floor.  I was really thinking it would kick but though just as a color coded parking mat. get it big enough for the bike on stands and my stool... So I was thinking about 10X12' or roughly three boxes plus some edging...I dunno...

You know in the south a lot of folks have their garage floors painted?  I thought that was really weird at first...

Yeah, painted with sand in it. Keeps ya from bustin yer azz with the humidity.
I'm gonna etch my floor clean and put down, checker board tiles.
I just gotta find out where to get em.

Heh, You tha Man! Iwe are sharing a brain regarding the Checkerboard tiles and the Anodized pegs and such on the Blacked out Busa's. I just had one concern withthe tile. When it gets wet, how slippery is it going to be?:super: Could be pretty spooky.
What I really wan tto find is some serious old school wood plank flooring. Yeah Hardwood Floors in the Garage... ;)

Two more concerns for ya with real tile. Drop a ratchet and a tile is chipped/busted, and looks like crap. Also, doesn't grout stain pretty easily when things like grease or oil is worked in? I thought about that route as well. It looks cool, but I don't know how long it would look that way... :super:

Too funny Rev.......we have those flooring panels in our dairy, ........little easier on the feet for the guys that milk the cows.
Dude, I bet it's hell pickin' the cow dung outta them holes and grooves!

:bounce:
:bounce: the panels are only on the lower floor where the milkers walk, not the cows........still have to take them all out once a month and clean them, and the floor though.

Mooo...

I don't think sleeper was talking about ceramic tiles, I am pretty sure he is talking about the industrial/military type plasticky composite stuff. It's actually pretty darn tough, comes in 1'X1' squares...I can't remember what the material really is... But I think it would still be slippery. Hell Why not just put in slate flooring...Only cost $5-6K for the garage.

I'm thinkin' a two part epoxy coating at this point. Rather spend the difference on busa mods.

Honestly that is what I am leaning towards. They have some really durable garage floor finishes out there now and they really do look nice. Then I'll get a couple sets of the composite tiles to make a little parking spot just for the Busa.

Have you found any particular epoxy coating that you intend to use, or are you like me... at the initial stages of lookin'?
