A little mishap. Any ideas

Are you sure there wasn't something on the road? Gravel, sand, etc..?
That tire doesn't look like it's been leaned over far enough to slide, no matter the air pressure or throttle application.???

I agree but I did not see anything in the road. When i ran off the road i went through some soft gravel. I am thinking like someone else said my suspension wasn't set up for 2 and maybe i was going a little to fast. We had traveled through that road many times at about the same speed. I know the road well and it just surprised me when it happened. I just wanna make sure it does not happen again.

agree on the lean angle couldn't have been the problem. If you roll over brake fluid or some oils it could blue the tire.

How worn in the middle is the tire? Not enough tire/ground contact when cornering?

Maybe it's the photo or something - talking about squared off... Looks like a car tire... For a front tire it just looks odd to me. I usually ditch a tire when it looks like that but it's usually the rear!

The tire is new with about 1000 miles on it now. I have checked it over as good as i can and it seems fine. I am leaning twards the tire pressure i had in it (42). I would like to thank all of you that helped with this. I have learned a lot about things that can go wrong with tire pressure. Thanks again, Doug
