Hi. Every thing over there is a big mess. I think if they would not let us hit the camps I would jave anyway and say OK lets go. Also I would fight lto win not the way we did. Like we did in WW2.

The issue with fighting in these asymmetrical wars is that it’s next to impossible to identify targets without a lot of prior intelligence gathering, and even then you might be able to take out a handful of enemies. The war in Ukraine is about as close to a near/peer war similar to WW2.

Sadly there are times when it is a necessary evil.

I agree that it is necessary at times, i would do it all over again just to save the ones we could, but I would rather not.

I agree, war isn’t enjoyable for anyone……but have waging for as long as there’s been humans.

I was watching a nature show the other day and they said chimpanzees fight wars-obviously not to the scale we do.

I've been reading about many various evacuations around the globe by various nations.

Many of the people they are risking their lives to pull out haven't lived in their parent country for decades but the minute their adoptive country becomes embroiled in anything, they demand to be evacuated......I say there should be a limit to this.

At what time does a citizen of an abandoned country is no longer entitled to be "rescued" by their country of birth?

Many of the so-called evacuees they said the US (and other countries) abandoned in Afghanistan were born and raised there. If there was going to be so much backlash of leaving natural born citizens in the own country.....NATO should have left a sizeable occupying force in Afghanistan and continued the war on the Taliban.....

I mean, in reality can the west evacuate the entire country? That's pretty much what the ask was........

No need, our borders are wide open, they need to just sell a bit more Heroin, to pay their fare to the Southern border. It's called "Self Evacuation."

No, what I said is Biden (or any person in his seat) had no choice but to do what they did as the ANA/ANP and puppet US inserted Afghan government collapsed which was unexpected. This allowed the Taliban to completely take over Afghanistan....and ISIL to operate freely.

Pretty hard to extract out of an unsecured area with fixed wing airlift. It's a fortunate thing any of the aircraft even left the ground and weren't taken down.

Either that or they were happy to see them go so they could get on with business...a few less infidels to deal with.

ISIL were operating out in the open and they (the Taliban) had their hands full with them as well.

As far as the USinc was concerned it was mission accomplished. The Military industrial complex had made a fortune, time to move on. Ukraine, very timely, who needs Afghanistan when you can sell the same product and not worry about the body bags.
