Being responsible is another story entirely and I know 40 year olds with the maturity of 16 year olds so go figure.
What-ever.....

Ease up? Nothing to ease up about, I saw no excitement.Ease up folks
I never said they were. If that's what you interpreted then you added it. I simply started with a rational premise "this is a free country" instead of an irrational premise like...no one is threatening your civil liberties.
.because it just makes sense

No.
Last time I checked this was supposed to be a free country. My first bike was a GS1150E and I was 18 years old. I am now in my 40s and I have never been down. I know people who are in their 60s and are stupid. Either someone can pass the test for all motorcycles or no motorcycles.
I think their should be some sort of progressive licensing for motorcycles..but Engine CC is not an appropriate method of restriction....
For Example...
a Suzuki GSXR 600 vs a Harley Davidson 883 Sportster....
The GSXR 600 is a way higher performance motorcycle than pretty much any Harley Davidson Motorcycle on the streets...Some of the larger Harley motors are pushing 1300cc's or higher...
Perhaps a more progressive licensing where you are allowed to operate certain levels of performance motorcycles with a basic license say up to most of 600cc-750cc sportbikes, and then after attending a advanced riders course or Certified Racing School you can apply for a higher classification to drive higher performance motorcycles such as most liter bikes and above.
Perhaps something like this would be enough to keep some people off of motorcycles that they are not quite skillfull enough to handle yet.

Don't want the limits imposed, just better mandatory training.
