Akro spring fitment

Hello, I have just purchased an Akrapovic Evolution 4-1 for my Busa. On fitting the header into the collars it seems there are 2 small holes in each collar which the springs locate into. However, the headers on my system appear to have just one ring welded to each downpipe..this has got me a tad confused, I would have thought there would have been 2 rings to each downpipe. If any of you Gurus could give me any pointers or advice on fitting the header and their springs I would be very greatful, a nice piccy would be ace, thanks very much Davy.

i think there is a hole in each side of the collar so you wouldnt have to take the time to make sure that only one side of the collar is aligned with the ring.

Thanks chaps, sorry for the delay in getting back Chrismas and all that. So the headers are attached on one side only, is there areason for this? as I would have thought springs on each side would make more sense. I really appreciate the help especially the pic.....suppose I had better go and make a brew and get stuck in then, thanks Davy.

Once you tighten the header bolts it won't move.

Be sure to coat with the sealant provided in tube.

Also, keep everything loose untill the mid pipe is mounted then tighten. Trust me on this and save time.

Runeight, an observation that I have made is, my bike has some kind of external oil feed pipes that run adjacent to each header, your bike does not appear to have these.....any ideas, cheers Davy.

are you talking the pair valve and lines?

Some use..some don't. Do a search and ye shall find.

Most install block off plates and a Power Commander 3 with a different MAP.

Some leave it on.
