Wee further and Hwy 3 - Hayfork Pass has brand new pavement, they just laid down a ribbon of chocolate, beyond belief.

Hey Tim, I (love) new pavement! Been on 36 all the way a few times but this time its 49 all the way. Never ridden it all before and I used to live in Humboldt county so 36 thru Platina is off the map this time. Except for the dirt sections we sure have ridden a lot of the same roads.

Man that looks COLD! I've only ridden while its snowing for a half day, didn't stick on the pavement and turned into rain but when there's snow everywhere but the road, it make for a beautiful ride.
