I can add a new one that just happened this week. I have had an upper respiratory infection I couldn't shake. After 3 weeks and a bad last weekend I went to my doctors office as a walk in. My regular doctor was booked up so they sent me to the next available.

The kid was 12.

He is looking me over, listening to my lungs, asking questions...........and stops and says, OK what's your birthday. I responded. He stepped back and said...Man you look a lot better than my dad and he is 3 years younger than you.

I choked him with the tube of his stethoscope.

I am not sure if it is because of age but I have found in the last few years. I used to be the one that always said hold my beer lately I find I am the one holding someone else's beer.

Unexpected "getting old" story - there's a local sport bike group I've been sort of following on FB for over a year now, and they've always seemed pretty cool, seem to be responsible, etc. I've never gotten to ride with 'em yet, simply because "local" to me means their meet up spot is nearly 2 hours away from where I live. But, they've been on my list of "one day" for a while now...

Then, last night, I see a bunch of vids posted up by a few in the group, maybe some newbs, not sure - street racing (one's a Busa), and all of the sudden I'm thinking "eh, never mind, I don't care to go ride with 'em now" Now, maybe they were on an abandoned stretch of road somewhere, so perhaps I shouldn't judge, but maybe I'm just getting old. All I kept thinking was "someone's going to get hurt" and "this sure is stupid"

Yep, maybe I'm just getting old...

Nope not old - With age comes Wisdom. The way to get old (as the alternative isn't so great) is to not do stupid stuff or get hurt.
We all do stupid stuff from time to time but it becomes less frequent the older we get, for most people anyways.
