So busa_boy - how would you rate your racing skills in this case? And what was the trail of grease you're talking about?
What you just said was that your junking your busa and going out to get a ZX14 because he spanked you so bad. Seriously?? What happens in 2007 when the new Busa is released and it spanks this years ZX14? because you know that Suz is not going to take this lieing down....
Can you give some more detail on the race? I just cannot believe that 50cc would give such a dramatic difference between our busa's and the ZX.

Funny you guys are looking for zx14 to smack down and can't find one and i'm looking for busa to smack down and can't find one.....Funny is it not?? I did get to run two modded Gixxers last week ..I raced each one of the twice from a 60mph roll and all runs where from second gear .. Beat the both by 2 to 3 bikes and still pulling on them when they gave up...I have had two Busa a 99 and an 05 trust me stock for stock the zx14 is faster...If anyone near me with a Busa wants to give it a try let me know ..Win or lose i'll post the out come..
Except the day you pick it up from the dealer, I think a stock Busa is like a unicorn...

I think i'm the first in Tampa bay to get one ..I go to Tampa (Ybor city) must every Wensday and Sat night riding the zx14..

I was out with my boys there are eight guys I ride with on a regular basis(all BUSA's) and stopped at the local bike shop "Renton Motorcycle Company" and guess what rolls in on a brand new ZX14, he was checking us out and we were doing likewise, so my buddy asks if he wanted to opened it up... his response was "Im not into street racing on the street, so my bud says just a roll-on from 70 mph well MR ZX14 politely declined: WHAT A WUSSIE
i was on sunken meadow pkwy last sunday had one fly up on me , i moved to the far left so we could split a lane , well i guess the jackass thought that meant blow by me ? he blew past me doin 100 mph i almost jumped on it and went with him he started splitting lanes after he passed me the only gear the driver and passanger had was full helmets , the girl on the back was probably LESS THAN 17 YRS OLD ! so i backed off , let him go he went 1/8th mile ahead of me and slowed and stopped splitting lanes .
under different circomstances i wouldve been all over that bike , but i felt sorry for the passanger ! and i was riddin with a little beemer 1150 , next time !

Man that was hard calling him a WUSSIE... Some people buy bike just to ride , Hey we are not all racers .. I know a 50 guys that don't race their Busas , they just bling them out.. Sure -- I guess you having that type of advantage is about the only way yer gonna pull on him. Face it, without yer mod's, he'd have left you squirming.
I think this thread is getting a little defensive. Everyone will claim they won when the other person wasnt even racing. Or use the excuse that the other bike had to many mods. Or even Get defensive because they really arent sure.
Until someone lines them up at the track and gets a clean run we will never know. (and we may not know then)
The hype will eventually die down, the recalls will happen
In the mean time lets all play nice.
