If so did you see who won :)

An Delta Force team leader and instructor
An ex spec ops military person and current contractor
An ex mil and current US Federal Marshall
And a weapons instructor were the four contestants.

The Delta guy looked the part and you could have easily picked him out if asked to do so. The contractor was a bald headed brute of a bad azz. And the US marshall was a BIG dude I would not want pissed at me. Weapons instructor was a little guy compared but in the end his cardio conditioning and some luck made him the winner. At the very end of the show the host of the show was talking to him and gave him his moment of glory. The host says 'You're pretty good and have just beat some of the best in the world, why did you not ever join the military yourself?

The winner says 'well ten years ago when I was thinking about it I didnt feel as if I would have fit in seeing as how I'm gay'

I was impressed.

Please keep comments clean and not derogatory toward anyone. I'm posting this because I'm sure the winner opened a few eyes with his abilities and most definitely he crushed a few stereotypes in peoples minds. My hat goes off to him because he's earned it and $10,000 as well :)

I saw that ! I honestly think they gave it to him . Why ? I duh know ..And I'll just keep the rest of my thoughts and comments to myself for now !!

PR how do you figure?
He beat the Delta force guy down the zip line and outshot him as well as the other two.
He made it over and thru the three walls/obstacles faster than anyone and he knocked key off wall and got himself out of jail faster than remaining guy who was the DF guy cuz other two got eliminated in first two challenges.
What, you think his walls were easier to hammer thru? :)

He earned it 100% and deserves the respect a winner should get. I thought it was funny because the other three were talking trash about him throughout the show. Both the Delta guy and military contractor gave him no respect or credit and the US Marshall told him 'I'm 250 and your 150, I'll toss you out of this van!' Well he got sent home beat by that man half his size. Serves them all right.

Usually it's the smaller guys who have the additonal stamina (aren't carrying around as much weight) than the big muscle-bound guys. Congrats to him. But he's right he didn't belong in the miltiary and kudos to him for recognizing it and finding a way to serve.

FYI...

there are gays in the military....

always have been, always will be.....

they have defended your right to be a bigot for over 200 years....

Amazing how quickly this thread deteriorted into name calling. Too bad I'm immune - you got nothing better than that? I'm certainly entitled to my opinion as you are, but since I served 26 years (how many you?) I guess I've got some good reasons why for which I do not have to explain to you.

For some reason AH, you seem to like to follow me around.

Personally didn't care that he chose an alternative lifestyle and I don't think it really mattered in the show at all. People want equal rights but yet make it a point to prove they are different when it will benefit them.
Personally I thought the guy was a tool, and I was cheering for him to lose.
And for what its worth, I'm not in the Military and never was...

I saw it and though it was pretty cool. I cant wait for the Making the Cut next week. Scout snipers! :beerchug:

my comment was not aimed at you.....

yet you feel the need to defend yourself?

HHMMMMMM......makes a man think?

Never saw the show, but he won and then said that he was gay good for him, not that it makes any difference if his gay or not, if any of the others had won and are not gay good for them.
Why would you not want a gay person serving their country, I don't understand why are they different from anybody else?. They are people like anyone else on this earth.
Right typical male two lesbians together YEAH two men together AHHHHHH, whats all that about then.
One of my gay friends Clive used to take my son out on day trips from the age of 12, and 19 years later they still keep in touch. Yes Clive's a real person not some kind of freak who should be treated any better or worse than anyone else, his just gay.
I've said it before why can't we just live in peace together.
Sorry I think I've gone off track again.

I wouldnt want to change the topic ( Army of one show) . and probably cant discuss the gay issue without offending someone and having it create issues on the site.. I wish we could , I'd really like to answer soem of the above questions..... So I'll just shut my a** up ...:)

First episode was brutal. 46 started and 10 finished. They weeded them out quick!
Looked pretty easy though. I could have done that

Yes the scout sniper one will be neat.

You've been led to believe Pocket that you can't speak up for what you believe in by the PC crowd. Not trying to stir up trouble and was respectful in my OP, but some people just can't help themselves to try and insult into submission.

I started the thread about the show but was aware because of who the winner was it may turn into another topic of discussion. As long as we can keep it mature and without insult we should be able to DISCUSS things?

Agree Sorry Saiid.

No need to apologize Skydivr. I guess I'll just start another smelly sponge thread.
At least that will get more posts

There is no such thing as having a discussion with afterhours participating without insults being used.

Simply the nature of the beast!
