Well on my first ride home i was a lil nervous and trying to take it very easy on the motor the first few miles. Well i stalled it off the line about 5-6 times total, each time it sounded like a diesel truck when it turns of and knocks/rattles for a second. Pretty noticable in mid day city traffic. Always ran smooth and no other noises just when i didnt slip the clutch enough or give it enough gas. Rattle rattle rattle. Killed me every tiem i heard it. I think ive stalled it once since then and i didnt hear it then. The noise was within the first 5 or so miles of riding ever on the motor. Did i beat up the bearings or hurt the pistons/walls at all possibly? Justa lil worried, maybe just paranoid??

Doesn't sound like my 05. Maybe the timing is too advanced -
baad thing. Take it to a good independent shop and let them listen to it. If it's nothing a good shop will tell you that with no charge. If it is something, you would have to wonder about a dealership that would let you have it that way.

It was a brandnew bike. It was stalling cause i wasnt giving it enough gas and or not slipping the clutch enough. It only made the noise as the bike stalled. Ran perfect otherwise. I think i was just being an idiot and stalling it. Just worried about the noise it made when it stalled. Hasnt happened since and everything seems perfectly normal?

Probably nothing to worrry about, but if you can take it back to the dealer for them to check it. If you trust them.

I'll be in Schaumburg tonight and tomorrow. You can bring it by and I will take a listen to it if you want. PM me.

Yes!!

I everyone, I am the newbie here I guess. I have had the exact same problems over and over on my 05 and it is exactly what you think it is. But the bike is too lean from the factory and is a notorous pig in a parking lot. I installed an Akrapovich evo exhaust. I had Walter at ECS Dyno do my K&N, airbox mod, PCIIIr, and a custom map. I am getting about 164 at the rear wheel, but the biggest improvement is how smooth and seemless the powerband is now. The bike is completely different from stock. I have about 3500 miles on it and very pleased with it. I do not think I could have picked a better bike... Oh BTW those nasty noises you hear when it stalls are clutch and tc chains just rattling...

Just paranoid. The motor/clutch make all kinds of nasty noises when running under 1K RPM. Twist he right wrist, and all is well in the world.

Why are you stalling so much to begin with? Is the Busa your 1st bike?

Congrats on your new beast and welcome BUSA brother!
I would take her to the dealer and make them figure out what is wrong. You paid a lot of money and the bike should work right!

Just raise the idle til you get used to it and use decent fuel. You'll be fine. Oh, and welcome.

Also where are the pics?

check idle speed. 1150 +/-100 rpms when at full operating temp. also it is easy to forget to downshift due to the torque available.

Well, is it your first bike? The Busa is a real pussycat around town if you want it to be...very smooth and easy to ride in stop and go situations...slip the clutch a bit and apply the throttle and be ready to pull the clutch in if your not comfortable with it all...(that is if theres no traffic) be carefull you don't come to a clunckity clunk sudden stop and drop your new bike...just take it slow and cover your brakes.

Not trying to school ya or anything but it sounds like to me your just not applying the throttle and the clutch in the proper proportion...I would'ent worry about the first few times it died on ya...you did'ent hurt it but It's not the best thing for a bike either. Welcome and enjoy
