(dolilind @ Aug. 26 2007,15:26) Right, need streetable and as much power as can get. 1397-1430 or such. Carpenter say its possible to get 240+ out of the 1430 kit and still ride on the streets so thats a good start.
do you believe that 240 # off of pump gas for a 1430?

If you do have them build one and prove it by pouring gas you buy from the pump into the bike when you pick it up..

If you want some realistic $'s this is not the hp word but what your most likely to see..I have nothing to gain or loose by showing you the truth...

mild 1397=190-195
hot 1397=195-205
race fueled 1397=205-220(if lucky)
mild 1430 =200-205
hot 1430=205-215
race fueled 1430=215-240(if lucky)
Spot on with the numbers......
And remember Numbers don't win races!

Allready did the drop one tooth in front, and up 2 in the rear. Got the 6" extentions, pc3 usb, velocity stacks, ram air seals, air box mod, Tre, Full Yosh system, lowered, shinko 003 tires, custom paint, polished swingarm and frame, and now I WANNA GO!!! This is all well for some but i need some power.

i recently had the 4400 package installed from carpenters. His numbers are done w mr12 race fuel in the tank, no air filter.
the bike works awsome, I think that all motor is the way to go! IMO I drove down to carpenters from canada to get it done and was very pleased with the work. I would reccomend them to anyone. They really know what they are doing. Check out there web site, there it explains which combos are suited for your riding habits.
Looking for durabilityt, I went with the 1397 as i ride on the street aswell as hit the track a few times a year. It is a very streetable package, likes pump gas and just add a little MR12 race fuel and change your fuel map and hit the track.
Remember it is Carpenter RACE motors! and they do what the can to squeeze every last available HP out of an engine!!
I know a guy w a carpenter motor in his zx12 and it works really good. hes had it for a few years alos and its still a very strong bike!

Anyone know of any reputable Engine Rebuild Shops similiar to Carpenters over in the California/West Coast area? Same problem as Cblast - thats a long ways to trailer a bike to, and to trailer back :p

I have one of Bob's engine packages and it's awesome! I beat it up on the track and I ride it on the streets with no problems. When he says its turn-key, it really is. I'm not the best drag racer (I try) but I can manage to get into the 9.10's on my 05 Busa with just an average 60' (1.68). I'm at 129 mph at the 1/8 and 156 mph at the quarter. Could easily run in the 8's with a better rider. I have the 1397 motor putting 212 to the wheel but keep in mind, my DA out here is much much higher than most of the east coast tracks. Also keep in mind that Bob's numbers is for where Bob is at. Your numbers will depend on your seasonal DA (density altitude commonly know in the drag racing world as effective altitude.)
