April fools

Actually it was a wake up call ... It just goes to show that this site is more then just a info site it is family .When we thought it was gone we went and found a way to stay alive and together on a temp site . That has alot to say for the kind of people we have here...Doug if you or RSD do this again I will personally come to your house and move in and eat all your food and be a bum.....

You got me for a quick few minutes, then I realized it was April 1st ... after that I never doubted that it was an April Fool's joke ... and a vivid reminder of how much a part of my life this site has become. Good one Cap !! It's all good though!!

So my day was crappy for a bit, went through my e-mails, found some board members addresses, sent emails to them saying basicly, "Keep in touch, send me your number, yada yada...." Then I call VAbusa cause I was gonna send out a muzzy fan to her that I had, and she made a suggestion that it was a april fools joke..... DUH!! I thought to myself, April Fools day! I don't keep up with it though, so I never remember.

RSD: Your e-mail back ALMOST gave it away to me, when I asked for your number and if cap said anything, and the only reply was your phone number.... I'm slow, what can I say.

At first I was like "what the hell". Shutting down the site without warning was too drastic. The prank would have been more credible if you had done it yesterday or tomorrow. To pull something like this on April Fools day? Just how stupid do you think we are?
 
For me, it felt like somebody took a whole bunch of my friends out in one fell swoop..
Had no way of contacting any one.. except RSD. Should have known something was up when he did not reply.

Now I'm going to go around gathering e-mail addys...

I forgot what today is. I actually looked up Catains phone number and called his cell phone offering to host the site. Gah! It's gonnea take a bit for this to wear off..

reminded me of the aftermath of a natural disaster... every board i checked had "refugees" looking for lost friends.... and even saw at least 2 new boards start up just to gather people in..shows how much this place means to some of us

Above ,I never said anything that could possibly be construed as negative towards the April 1 joke or THIS website here , OR at the temporary site while this site was down and your critisism was totally OUT OF LINE !

I have made friends from all over the world as well and met them through this site ! I was concerned that I might not could contact them since their email adresses were in my PM box .

You spoke to me as a person/member and not a moderator so you let that soak in awhile , change the panties you got mad in and get over it .

Man ... I logged on and was lost ... so I created the same username on SuzukiHayabusa.Org and on GSX1300R, hoping for people to recognize me. Good people at both; SuzukiHayabusa even created a "Refugee" location for us! Gotta give the follow Busa owners some BIG props for helpin' us out. So, NOW I WANT TO JOIN THE .ORG!!! Cap or Rub--where's that "Support" button and the US Flag?!?
 
I normally don't say much here because I enjoy reading all you guys stuff especially now that I'm in Kuwait for a while but I've got to admit you got me on this one, my day was ruin, I started searching for a sites this morning that could keep me inform on all the stuff I so much enjoy on this site when I have some down time here in the big sand box that was not funny, thank goodness it was a joke, good one.
