I went to the Darkside - AKA, car tire on the bike | General Bike Related Topics
Well, I went and joined the Darkside :laugh: Fitted a Bridgestone Potenza G 19 Grid, 205/50zr17 on the rear yesterday. Fitting it on the bike was close. The mounted tire was about 8 inches wide, and barely clears the chain (less than a 1/2 inch - more like an 8th). Took it for a test ride...

Hi. I have seen them work with no problems . I was thinking of running a Michelin Pilot Sport in an 205 55 17 or 215 55 17 load range 95 =1521 lbs speed rating Y =186 mph It can run up to 50 lbs of pressure for the 205. Load range for the 215 may be higher
Price wise M/C tires are an extreme ripoff.

Interesting - watch the entire video. At the end he says:

I ran thru 4 car tires on 2 BMW GTLs and a Goldwing. Zero problems running hard. Ran the dragon and other MC mtn roads as fast as bike could go and as with sport bike riders riding aggressively. For a busa - maybe... for a true handling sport bike, not sure it would be good. I got 10-12k miles on the rear. For comparison I struggle to get 2500 miles on a sport touring Mc tire. If folks are curious - pm me.

My 4th tire after mounting. Was like $60 and $10 to mount. Bike has governor at 140 but I can set cruise at that speed for miles on end and tire is very stable.
...or a Trump sticker on a Beemer lol
Especially since he's pulling 12,000 troops out of Germany...
Now all he needs to do is to pull his head out of his azz.
