Are Motorcycle Tires a Ripoff? The Darkside Car Tire Experiment

I'd never put a car tire on my busa because #1 it would look stupid and #2 it would suck for hard lean angles. I can't even imagine running low tire pressure in a car tire on a sportbike. I'd use one on a cruiser. Seems like a car tire would be fine for LSR and drag racing but I don't know how easy burnouts would be.

You have a problem with Canadians, Mr Brown? Why don't you start a separate thread and educate us on our failings.
Irony, ever heard of it? A Canadian commenting on US politics while complaining about keeping a thread on topic meets that definition....
Nothing personal, I like the vast majority of Canadians I've interacted with.

At least he has a head to pull out... unlike his opponent.

But let's keep this on topic, shall we? Not everything in the freaking world needs to be politicized...

I've always liked the V Max bike....I rode the original and it was awesome...the new (er) ones must be real beasts.

remember boys. I’m in Alabama. Trump is king here. We are about to vote in the former Auburn football coach as our senator.

just thought I’d chime in as someone with MANY aggressive miles on a CT. Not a Busa but not a cruiser for sure. Hard to ride harder than I do on the street and still be posting. On my s1000xr I have zero chicken strips and no I wouldn’t (well probably not, but never say never) put a ct on that. If I do, I will Post up.

Fantastic riding where I am as we have roads like the dragon close by. But. It’s HOT and that hot asphalt eats tires like crazy.

Quite a few run the car tire; Darksiders lol, on ST1300's. I wouldn't mind the money savings but I don't compromise when it comes to two wheels. I love the magic of turning too much.

You people
do not know
nothing about
BACON . . .

There
I said it .

I secretly correct people's grammar because of my dislike of confrontation.
Only on the .org does a discussion of car tires on motorcycles end up here lol.
I do it incessantly in my mind, but not from dislike of confrontation. I love that. Usually it's just not worth the effort of correction.
Only on the .org, you're absolutely right. Maybe @RedBull can make it a #

I've never been an English Major, just a Sgt-Major....however, I spent a lot of time behind a keyboard drafting reports for lot's of high ranking people who were English Majors with little to no problem.

As with all things, the less one uses these skills, the quicker they diminish.
