I agree on the only two possibilities i can think of. But I don't agree on an alien caring about us. We are bugs to them.

Maybe....but who knows if these extraterrestrials are a violent species, they might just be explorers wanting to observe and didn't put time and energy into weapons.....

@Bumblebee I thought I put this here? Listen to experienced pilots with a couple hundred people on board describe red orbs coming in and out from 20 miles out of the ocean, low altitude to 50,000ft+ doing hypersonic maneuvers indescribable and impossible for humans to sustain. One pilot reports it to ATC. They are like mmm yeah ok. Then another pilot from another plane chimes in and says he's glad that guy said something because they are a medivac plane 100 miles away also wondering WTF they were seeing.
Not Timmy tinfoil from his moms basement or Blanca here. Pilots in the air at that moment over Oregon recently.

Tell me what these guys who themselves are flying at 550mph are seeing?

Back in 88, my wife and I both saw and heard some sort of UFO type thing. I called the police just to see if anyone else had reported it and they laughed about it. It hovered in the air for probably 10-15 minutes and then came over us, and we could hear a very low pitched humming sound. When it took off away from us, the sound didn't change, it just faded. And it went from looking like it was at a few thousand feet hovering over us to looking like it was thousands of miles away in seconds.

To this day, I wonder what it was. But I don't lose any sleep over it either.

As to the drones or whatever is flying on the east coast, I wouldn't be surprised if it was military stuff. And I also don't expect the military to tell the public what they are up to on a day to day basis. I read recently that the B1 bomber wasn't released to the public until it had been flying for around 20 years.
