While I'm not a big Kawi fan, I can respect the machine that the 636 is....a very potent track tool and road-racer.


And, as always, my boy BT adds more quality to the bike. Very nice, bro....but I know the mod bug is still kinda itchin in ya.

God i wish they made ATTACK rear sets for Busa's !!!!!!1  i had them on my f4i and LOVED EM! I did see some ARATAS, they were very nice!

Thank you. Can't wait for the next round of mods... Penske 8981 double adjustable rear shock and Traxxion AK-20 drop-in fork cartridges with properly rated springs on both ends for my fat arse. That should REALLY make it a sweet ride.

Looks like have a lot of preload left on the factory shocks..

I know it probably won't do enough to compensate for anybody over 180pnds.. but hey,,, ya work with what ya got at the moment ya know..

Yep. I'm going to try increasing preload for now, but as you said, it may help, but won't cure the problem.

Am I the only one that is noticing the "very" big gap between the heel guard and frame leaving the chain exposed? Were these rear sets even designed for this bike? I guess it's not big of a problem if you don't have shoe laces, but it still makes me nervous.

I'm pretty sure the average squid isn't gonna see the need to drop $500 bones on adjustable rear sets...

they just replace em' with whatever after they tear em' off.

My thoughts exactly. I never wear shoes with dangling laces. Even if I'm only rolling to the store and wear sneakers I tuck the laces down into the show with my foot. I learned that lesson within the first 10 minutes on Train when I was bringing her home from the dealer. I was rollin' along and realized that one of my loops was caught on the shift side peg. Glad I didn't roll to a stop and lean it that way before I knew it was caught. My foot never would have reached the ground until the bike fell over and landed on it.

Yep. I was actually thinking about getting a set of BST carbon fiber wheels for it.

May go with a set of Marvic magnesium wheels now though, since I'll be spending +/- $1500 on suspension too. We'll see...

Fwiw, this stuff is in lieu of buying a Corvette that I considered during a brief battle with mid-life crisis. I decided to forget the Vette and drop a few grand on mods to make the 636 super fuggin' sweet instead.
