I noticed you were getting quicker and quicker today what was the best time the Busa and TL run.
You past me twice on the way home I was a bit confused once on the M1 then again on the St Albans turn off I think its the M 10.What happened there?
Thats an impressive grase on the fairing.
I'll look at the dyno figs on the Micron system tomorrow the guy on the Blue Busa maybe right about the mid range I'm just so used to people asking for more and more peak power like power greedy Pooh.

Talking about power, what did the final figures come out to after finishing the map? And did you get a torque figure?

And, why do your kids like water? When you were out showing everyone how it's done on my busa (9.87 with a fukked start) and I was baby sitting the two boys, they asked for water! I thought kids like coke and fizzy stuff? Are you raising them on bread and water you old meanie?? :)

I ran a string of low 10.7s then a 10.62 (133MPH) I was still having plenty of trouble with traction - it was spinning all through 1st!

Mind you, I only let the tyre down to 30 PSI - should have gone lower so I could launch harder.

I'm a bit miffed I couldn't get into low 10s, maybe I should loose some of my 16st 10Lb lard!

I'll fit the fekking Brock mod this weekend - even if it's raining - may as well put the kill box on at the same time, saying that my changes were so quick I doubt if the kill box will save me much.

My brother ended up running 11.42 (122MPH) which I thought was pretty good for a stock TL1000S with a 14 Stone Rider.

I've got the bottle to go quicker but not the technique! :)

I went off the M1 on J9 through St Albans to J22 of the M25 to cut out some traffic.

All I need now is to digout the workshop manual sheets for the clutch Lyle sent me about 6 months ago! - I hate moving house you loose everything! (including a PCII! :( )

Nuts did you use thread locker on the diaphram bolts? do you recommend doing so?

Were you running a Brock Modded clutch this Sunday?

ha ha ha ha

Good luck with the install. looks pretty easy. Got a new clutch cover gasket?? and some clear silicone RTV?? and loctite?? and 30mm socket?? Oil & Filter (if doing)??

Just checking!!!

Nuts ;)

Got the gasket (came with kit) should I need silicon sealent? my alternator cover didn't leak without it.

I'm not using the spacers as I've got the Suzuki 4mm longer springs.

30mm sockets aplenty I've got 2 or 3 at the last count!

I can't be bothered to change the oil and filter - it's due for a service about 500 miles ago anyway and I changed it for Snetterton last month.

Hmmmm when's the next RWYB?....

next RWYB?? www.santapod.com

not sure

don't forget to change the brake discs round while you got your hands greasy!!
The grooves must be that way round for a reason....
I have a tube of RTV on hand, and smear a light coating on th mating surfaces, (just a finger wipe to make it tacky, not a 1/2 " bead!!) cant hurt. Ensures you dont have to take it off to fix a weeping bit.

regarding the loctite, I would do that also. It can't hurt. Just make sure the Torque settings are right.
Why am I telling you this?? you already know it!!

Nuts ;)

Yeah but if I can't find the tech sheets Lyle sent me, I don't know the torque settings anyway! - I'll phone the dealer Saturday.

I think the Brock mod docs may have them not sure....

Can't change the discs round - no way of supporting the bike! (front stand bust)

I've got a workshop manual, if you need them E mail me tonight and I'll let you have all the details you need.

mdr@cranfield.ac.uk
have you got a trolley jack?? thats a good way of supporting the front of the bike!!! ;)

Nuts ;)

My front paddock stand broke and not being a Rich sod with a souped up super Busa I have to make do with folded over sellotape instead of the posh double sided stuff so my models never looked like John Noke's - *Sob*

DM! LOL :) poor dm, wouldn't mom let you use real scissors neither?? had to use those crap-couldn't-cut-sh1t plastic ones?? :)
