Auto tune vs pear valve??

Cheese may be a tuner, but he also sounds like an arrogant *******. No need to treat anyone like that. And I am no tuner , but there is no way you can have an air fuel ratio vary from the 10's to the 13's and be right. There is not that much variability period. Are you for real cheese or just cheesy.

I didn't get that at all from his posts (and you would be wrong btw on your A/F theory). You guys need to understand that he's a busy man and his posts are to the point. One of the nicest guys you'll ever meet in person..

He's the most educated tuner in here and has tuned more bikes over 200mph than just about anyone.

If I were a lot of you, I'd take a step back from your sensitive internet feelings bs.... ....pull up a chair and listen to what the man says...

You also need to realize that 1) we had a new user from the UK asking a question, so perhaps the answers given weren't quite understood. 2) Jokes aren't always taken in the same way by all. Saying "there's no magic number" would be sufficient.

My issue is the barrage of insults tossed at a NEW member here, so I kind of doubt the poor guy will bother coming back because one of his only interactions here was with a guy treating him as if asking a question was an inconvenience and it turned in to being called names. That's not how we treat members on the oRg, and if Johnnycheese routinely does that, I'd love to know about it because I'd jump in more often and makes sure it doesn't happen. Take that to other Busa sites where it's OK to act like that because that's just how you want to be...joking is one thing, but if you want to answer some newbie's question, try to do it with some grace. No one here questions Johnny's expertise, but the delivery could use a bit of work if it means driving new membership away.

I have zero issue taking the hit for this one. If Johnny doesn't like what I'm saying, feel free to get with me JC. Not looking for an internet war here, just remember the oRg isn't like other sites for a reason.

You are correct, there are numbers you tune to, it is NOT magic. That is why we use the best O2 sensors and why they are tested prior to tuning to verify calibration. Dyno tuning is a precise procedure, and although there are different "targets" (afr) used for different reasons, there are definitely targets. You don't just do what "feels" right . . .

It's not about thin/thick skin man, I'm saying perhaps there was miscommunication, and saying things like "any more help send money" and "here Mr. Complaint" didn't seem too nice to me.

There's no reason for JC to dole out tons of info that needs to be done on a dyno, so here's a news flash - tell the guy he needs to get the Busa to a shop...

I don't agree with the way this new member was spoken to, and I haven't seen him back. I know how we're supposed to treat members here and this wasn't it. No one has thicker skin than me man, so yeah, I'm reading it correctly and I asked that we treat members with respect, like I always do...

1. Is Johnny Cheese related to Chuck E. Cheese?
2. You can plug the PAIR valve hose with a PEAR can't you?



I was going to say lighten up but I have been known to let the angry typing get the best of me too!
