Today ,I burned almost a full tank to trie the topspeed ones again to know if the bike was faster with the akrapovic, last year with stock cans it run after many atemps 330 kph,but now with the akra and the stock gearing it always reaches 330 kph when the wind is right ,but today there was a good backwind and I have tried it a couple of times it hits like a rocket in one straight line 330 kph but it takes very big balls to get on at that speed to reaches youre topspeed today I reached 335,336 kph with 10800 rev.[its a little bit hard to see at those warpspeeds ] or so I think its the topspeed of my hayabusa in this trim ,stockgearing, I am thinking to buy a double bubble shut that make live better at those speeds is the plastic not to soft?
My fuel went up to 10 liter to 100 km.
How muchs is 335 kph in real numbers ?
The bike is not remapt, its stock, are these good numbers?
O h and yes also on the autobahn there are old ladies with no mirrows and yes this day I met one I was almost at topspeed ,Its hard breaking when you go/mustgo back to 120 kph, thank god he was riding with me today,
okee let me hear you

jan

Jan, most people may not be doing the conversion: 330 kph is 205.05 mph. The good news is this would be very fast for a stock bike, the bad news is the error rate of the Busa at that speed (5-8%?). Lot of guys see that speed indicated on the speedo.

And you are on the correct board, the zx12 board members just have dreams about the speeds that you were running :)

I have not been on the autobahn since 1979, most all of us in the USA would love your roads.

in mph you'll hit the rev limiter around 220-225 mph.i have hit it a dozen times already.wich i would think was in the mid to upper 190s

In 1993 I went from Stuttgart to Innsbruk, and back again.
But I was stuck in a VW van, maybe 160 kph maximum. How I wished to be on my bike. :(

Okee Iam on the good board puuf,What I asked myself is are that good numbers for a "stock" ,99bike with only a pipe and stock gearing,
Hee MOTORHEAD how muchs is the airbox wen you send it to holland ?[just a qustion]
Thanks guys for youre reactions.
p.s. it was 335 kph and I am 110 kg,1.95m length.
I loved to meat a zx12 haha :)

He Jan where do you go in germany?
I went from Arnhem to Oberhausen yesterday
but I just got to 320k du of tafic.
Also this part of autobahn is a bit bumpy
whits make's my bike a little unstable in the front.
Motorhead can hit the rev limiter because his bike isn't stock.
But I'm also interested in his airbox mod.

Butt goes back against the hump. Chin of helmet goes on tank. Hunch your shoulders so that it drives your elbows down as far as you can get them. You are trying to touch the gas tank with the forward part of the outboard ends of your shoulders. Knees and elbows pinned to the bodywork. Hands as far inboard on grips as you can get them. Balls of feet on footpegs. Run it out to 11,000rpm in 5th, and then after the 5-6 gearchange, assume the position. You will need to have it pointed where you want to go, because you probably will not be able to steer above about 200mph indicated. If you hit a bump, it may bounce your helmet off the gas tank and up into the windstream a little bit. That can cause major buffeting that may cause you to abort and have to try again. By the way, have you seen the Mach 2 video?

my buddy hits his with stock pipes and a modded box though.mine has a pipe and box.overseas no core box is 275 and shipping so probably 300.

i just duck down and let the bike push me through the wid till it hits the limiter.who need the autobahn.though it would be nice with a turbo busa!

Kirk, 5'11" is roughly 180cm. tall.
180 lbs is about 82 kg.

P.S. I think jan is a pretty highly-experienced sportbike rider.

Jan, you need a Power Commander II or at least remap with the Yosh box. The stock FI system has no way to know that you have increased the volumetric effiency, so it is probably running lean. Long duration high load high rpm large throttle openings (top speed runs) can hole a piston if you lean it out.

I also have run 205mph indicated on my Hayabusa. Don't mess up the aerodynamics with a different shaped aftermarket windshcreen. I can teach you the correct body position for top speed runs. It is not hard.

HEE,KIRK thanks man but I have tried that ,I mean putting my butt to the hump, but I don,t like that at all its you going for a hellride or a suicide like you self sad you have no control you are just a passenger ,I sometimes feel with my hand of the hump is still on so far I am sitting in the front about 10/15 cm from of the hump, but anyway thanks for the story :)

MR BEAR thankyou for the very nice words ,its a shame you all life so far away ,otherwhy,s we could meat each other, I am verycurious to know how DP,duc, and ofcourse MR BEAR are all like are you having trouble with youre busa BEAR?

AND MOTORHEAD YOU DEFFINALY NEED AN AUTOBAHN ITS THE HEAVEN FOR A HAYABUSA OR ZX12 OWNERS HAHAHA[LOL] :)
