This brings up the question, "If water feels like concrete at 100 mph, then what does concrete feel like" ? Well, I

 can tell you, CONCRETE at 100 mph DOES NOT feel like water

been there done that,water skiing.boat running 40mph takes a sharp turn,and you purposly swing out real hard,if ya don't have a hard lean out on the ski,you're right,it fells like concrete.

Limiter in 6th with stock gearing (184 mph?) - twice.

Limiter in 6th with 16/42 gearing (174 mph) a handful of times.

The poll should have had the limiter or something between 170 and 190... there is a HUGE difference between those speeds!!!!! Everything over 160 mph gets crazy exponentially!

I hit the limiter in 5th with 42 tooth in he rear daily on my 01

I think the fastest I have been is on the 01, which had pc3usb{very well tuned}, a full yosh, Air box mod, KN filter, pair valve removed, TRE, and the 43 tooth rear- All she had on a 68* Florida day, Buried the speedo, for a while... So I would guees a ligitimate 185 considering it felt like I was still accelerating for a good 10 seconds after the speedo ran out of room...

either 167 or 168 according to factory speedo. not sure i want to go any faster personally. other then for bragging rights. maybe if i had better roads or lived out west. PA spends no money on there roads.

That's a loaded question with a few factors to consider. Average speed over some distance would have some meaning. As a swampy flatlander, I can tell you that covering 110 miles in 3/4's of an hour is no moped expedition!

Oh, and that's not including stopping for stop signs, changing roads, wheeling over railroad crossings at triple digits, dodging buzzards, and other common Southern rural hazards. Rear tires tend to take a beating in these heated conditions.
