The fastest that I had ever gone was 170 MPH...just bought the bike and out ran police from Columbus, Ohio to Cincinnati, Ohio. Had lunch and drove back to Columbus from Cincy....out ran police again at 170 MPH. There was a guy with me and he went to jail. I put the bike up for 2 weeks and learned the fear of what can happen to you (example: the guy with me, he went to jail) and never did that again. These bikes are freaking unbeliveable and they can get you in a lot of trouble if you let "yourself" get you in that trouble. I am glad that I had a improperly fit helmet on that was too large. The faster that I went the tighter it would cut the air out of my throat. That is the ONLY thing that kept me from going faster. I did not want to black out!!! What I did that day was not smart and I did learn alot out of this negative experience. Even though that I got away, I could had been easly been in a crap load of trouble.
